I live in Perry in a newly built home from back in 2020. Mortgage rates are increasing. Do not get an escrow if you can avoid it please avoid it. Homeowners insurance is high if you want the best coverage. HOA is between $100-$200.00 depending on the community you live in. Property taxes have increased. Cox best quality is around $150.00. Utilities is definitely on the high end in Perry depending on the community you live in. If the area is rundown then it’ll be inexpensive. If the community is decent with high priced homes the City of Perry water is about $150-180. Flint Energies is between $250 - 270 and during the summer it can be from $270 to a little over $315.00. Family plans on phones is between $215 to 250.00 a month depending on the Servicer. It’s quiet until the weekend when you can hear the loud music from cars and neighbors. Walmart has lots of theft problems, and a few women I know were assaulted in the parking lot. If you have children search for child predators to be sure you live far away from them. Do your own research on crime rate as well. I’m hoping to sell my home soon and find a home that’s far from the city life.
