So as requested I have decided to share how much I spend on basic necessities in a month as an overseas nurse living in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom
Please note that depending on the area you live, your family size, and lifestyle this may be more or less.
I also compared what I am paying for some of these things with that of other friends living in London and other parts of the Uk
Find out how much I’m paying for Rent, Car insurance, Utility, WiFi , Phone Bill, Road Tax, TV license etc.

In the UK if you drive a smaller car, Road Tax is REALLY cheap. Car insurance is also based on the size of your car engine.

It’s about an hour flight. I don’t think there’s a train that goes from here to Manchester. But do not let that discourage you ❤️

Rent in Northern Ireland is quite cheap compared to London because in London £495 will not even get u a bed-sit from a private landlord, however £470 in South East London is rent for a 2-bed house rented from the council.

I want to move to the UK. I'm looking into cost of living. I live in the United States. Born and raised. My family and everyone is American. I never lived out in the country. London, and Paris were top of my list. Had I been a rich girl this would be easier. I'm by myself, no kids. I have two years left on my bachelor's degree in media. I started really thinking about the UK's after graduating with my associates degree in media. I don't have anything saved. I do want to finish my bachelor's degree in media but, I'm worried about finding work with my degree. I thought about changing my major over to nursing and get back into media later. I don't have the general education classes needed. My financial aid is really low. I can't afford to switch my major. It's going to take to long to get into nursing. If I could find work into the UK, I wouldn't mind starting in Ireland. Is there an agency that I could look into?

I like cars, and I know it's affordable there but their insurance is expensive, that won't stop me from getting one there anyway lol, and you drive on the left there, that's not what we are used to.

Places like Basildon and southemd are more expensive and there's other places that are cheaper But I'm general it's cheaper than London or capital city's of the UK But keep in mind that Essex can be and is getting more dangerous (places like southend,lie on sea ect.) But the rent prices and prices for bills are reasonable However tax and insurance can be a bit high because of the crime in some places Personally I'd recommend Chelmsford because it's extremely safe and the rent prices are reasonable It's actually the only city in Essex but has a lot of greenery ,almost like your in the country tbh

Also the average rent in Essex is from 700 to 1500 a month depending on what you want to get (Apartments and flats in the lower end, 2,3 bedroom houses at the higher end)
