What?!! Water bill is $5-$10 and Electric is like $20-$30 I believe you said?!! Wow ! My water is $300 a month and electric is 400-$500 a month here where I live in the US. That’s almost rent in Turkey! I couldn’t imagine! I’d live more than comfortably in Istanbul!
Very well-done video, thank you for all that information! I'm considering spending 6 months in Turkey with my wife. Some of the time will be spent in Istanbul, some in Izmir and Mugla, and also Adana and Gaziantep. We would like to live a modest lifestyle, so I'm wondering if 35,000 - 40,000 Turkish Lira would be enough? Thank you, I subscribed to your channel.
Yes, 35,000TL is a good money in Turkey if you spend it well. Especially, if you rent from a small city, you will have plenty of remaining money to spend.
Thanks for the video. I might be moving to Istanbul on a 50,000 lira salary (gross). I have heard mixed things - some people think I will be struggling, while others have said it would be fairly comfortable (I don't really have 'luxury tastes', and am single)
@@sbring00able Good luck Steve! you can contact my company if you need residence permit application assistance and if you have other questions: www.residentturkey.com
Thanks for sharing the information about the living cost in Turkey. Your videos are very informative. I have a question what is the living cost in Ankara for a single person without rent? The living standard is normal, and no smoking or drinking.
Hello and thank you for all the information and explaning how much everything cost in Dollar. I just subscribed to your channel and I was Just Wondering about the employment for Canadian Citizen if I decide to live there for a long time? I am from Iran, worked and, lived in Canada for over 30 years. What would a good opportunities to do as a canadian to be able to live comfortably and, as a Canadian Citizen!? Can I live on $1400 per month!? I don't go out or party, no drinking or smoking :)) My bigest expens would be my rent and electricity and medical insurance. and I like to have my own laundry that I only use :)))Thanks again.
Very interesting video. Thank you for the information, I am thinking of moving to Turkey to learn the language, but I have to work there while learning, is it possible? if so is it too hard to find basic jobs that can pay your bills. hope you will answer me.
You can fine side jobs. However, note that the language course visa doesnt give work permit rights. The company that employs you needs to sponsor your work permit.
hello nice videos as always very informative , i got a question please i am living in turkey for 2 years i got short touristic residence under a diplomatic passport sponsored by my father he is living in turkey also i renew it every year , in the end of this year my diplomatic passport gonna expire i want to stay in Ankara by my self with another normal passport and renew my touristic ekama what should i do ? i do ekama like its the first time with the new passport or i go inform the migration center that i got a new different passport ?
If you residency is about to expire within 2 months, you will make a renewal application with the new passport. If it is gonna expire after 2 months, it might require a transfer application to change passports. Can you send message to the call center of www.residentturkey.com. There is a whatsapp button on the page.
Can you make a video on health care. For example if a foreigner has an emergency situation and blood is required urgently, then how can a foreigner get blood as he won't be having any relatives nearby to arrange blood for him or his family.
Hello, this is very informative. Is the cost of living in Alanya the same? Where in Turkiye is possible to live on a $1500 per month USD. We are looking for modest quiet living.
If you purchase a flat and don't pay rent, you can live with $1,500 in any city. I can recommend smaller cities for example Canakkale, Sakarya or Eskisehir.
@@annieg.7051 I live in Alanya as an Arab American ….I own my house…..it’s very doable to live on $1500.00, if you like to travel locally to other parts of Turkey you may need around $2000.00
I am a Muslim us citizen. I have a good job. My wife is a manager of gas station. I have 3 little kid. Would it be wise to move in turkey. Note: we only speak in English.
@areefhusainmollik8211 I don't think working as a manager in a gas station would be enough to live on. At least comfortably. Not sure where you live now but here in the US where I’m at, there’s no way we’d be able to make it on that income w/ three kids. Again idk where you live so maybe it’s somewhere much cheaper unless you’re in an apartment or small home possibly. Even apartments where I live are $2500-5,000 US dollars for rent and only getting higher. I don’t live in Turkey so I can’t say but it seems the cost of living has gone up there as well. I think I’d live quite comfortably though in Istanbul… Definitely considering it. Or at least visiting first and going from there. Gorgeous place! Good luck on whatever you decide!
I know! That would never happen here in the US and most definitely not where I live. I could live very good in Istanbul…. definitely considering it or at least vacation there and see how I like it first. Even water at $5 or electric at $20 I think he said, maybe even less, my jaw dropped! My water bill here in the US is $300 a month and my electric is $400-$500 a month. That’s like rent in Turkey low end which is insane. It’s definitely something i’m considering!
