Durian originated from the Malay archipelago. The word Durian are from the Malay words, Duri - thorn and An - multiple. Musang King is rated as the "Rolls Royce" of durians and it originates from Malaysia.
Just eat it very delicious fruits don't listen to the crazy people said the smell is bad is not true is smell delicious I love the smell of durian take care bye from milton Ontario Canada
I am from Malaysia. Durian is the native fruit of Malaysia. We have hundred of thousand of acres of Musang king, black thorn and at least 50 other varieties. Kindly visit Malaysia for more information about durian.
Durian is King of the fruit and mangosteen is Queen of the fruit. Lychee is Prince and Rambutan is Princess of the fruit there are many other good tropical fruit. We were traveling to Costa Rica last Summer for a week it's a beautiful Country we'll definitely come back thanks.
I 'm A Singapore Chinese Who Absolutely Loves Eating Durians and In All Sincerity I 'm Telling The Farm Owner That He IS UNDER PRICING His DURIANS Drastically . He Grows The Top Varieties & Even If He DOUBLES His PRICES , They Don't Even Come Close To What People In Penang , Malaysia , Thailand , Singapore and Even In Indonesia Are Paying . Good Luck To Him For His Sales 🤞 🤗
He sells his Musang King for USD4.35/lb (USD9.57/kg). The price of Musang King sold in Singapore and Malaysia (the origin of Musang King) is around USD10 to USD20, depending on season. Not too bad.
Musang king my favourite 👍👍👍👍. Yeah correct. Let the fruit fall by itself. Also reduce the number of fruit in a cluster of fruit flowers so you can produce the best fruit. Install net below the tree so when the fruit falls it doesn’t split. Plant mangosteen also
This Costa Rican durian farm owner knows the correct way to pry open a durian by not chopping it many times like many do. He just uses the tip of a chopper knife to pry open the husk along the clear lines dividing the segments of each chamber housing the seedy, delicious fruits.👍👍👍
This durian fruits is is very popular in Asia and expensive please sell to Canada I'm originally from Cambodia but now I live in Canada for the last more than 40 years back home in Cambodia we grown a lot of durian fruits thanks for sharing your video take care bye from milton Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
I'm Malaysian American and I live in both countries. I'm not a durian fan but interestingly Malaysia has hordes of Chinese tourists who come to Malaysia for durian. In fact durian is exported to China from Malaysia and it's considered the best breed of durian fruit in China that's why the tourism around durian is actually famous in Southeast Asia and Malaysia being the center. Musang King is the most famous breed of durian and is prized in Asia.
1:46 glad to hear that he say "i wait until it to fall"...durians are meant to eat fully ripped, not like those cutting down from trees that taste like potatoes
Wow "Musang King" what a fortune. Fall by itself in nature , its well done. Selling "Musang King" very cheap in Costa Rica but in origin country Malaysia its sell around RM 70 / Kg. Good job
Wow… just amazing! You guys are going to give Thailand and Malaysia a run for their money with these durians! I’m sure a lot of Asians in US will love these Durians without the trip to South east Asia.
This senior dude knew very well which is the best tropical fruit South East Asia can offer and he almost had it all in his garden halfway across planet Earth.
So excited to see durian grown in central America. Just to comment on the ripening of durian, yes the part where the fruit drops to the ground is crucial to activate the fermentation process which gives durian it's unique flavor and softer texture. That's why durian is always best consumed 3-4 hours after harvest, not immediately. I would love to try the Musang King of Costa Rica as I'm sure the taste would be slightly different due to weather and soil condition there
WOW, I did not know durian grows in Costa Rica, I love durian so much, but the one I can see the most where I Live in Houston, Tx is the Musanking. I think this is the only one I see and have eaten many times. Its my favorite fruit of all time. I have a nickname for this, The Durian King. haha I have 6 different durian t shirts, 2 durian back packs, durian socks, durian cup, durian mug, etc. I always ware a durian shirt to when I go play badminton almost 8 nights a week. I need to order some of the samples from you guys. I receive the newsletter and see the samples for sale.

@@YearoftheDurianse tivesse oportinidade no Brasil compraria durian certamente. Sou muito curiosa por comê-lo. Ja plantei. A muda está pequenina. Sabe se tem algum local no Brasil que vanda a fruta?
He has beautiful fruit garden...and thats a joy of life when you get older and start to plant something and the trees remain for hundreds of years under his name...
Your durian farm looks exactly like cultivated ln Malaysia. Always eat the food while ripen n drop down.from the tree.. In Malaysia it cost rm 50 to 80 for Mustang king species.....king of the fruit 😊
Waiting for the fruit to fall by itself is the most natural way to go about it, the intelligence of nature gives you the fruit at the perfect timing, not when you "think" is best.
I am from Cambodia. I love durian so much and I plant alot of durians in Kampot Province (The province that grow durian with high quality in Cambodia). Love your video ❤
This is new to me. I do believe Caribbean have similar tropical weather like SEA. Hope you guys enjoy it. Some American Big companies should make an investment because the likes of rich countries with massive markets like USA, European and Japanese still unexplored to this king of fruit.
This guy is really awesome and passionate about the fruits he is growing. Amazing results as we know it's very difficult to grow and get fruit producing durians even in Malaysia. Weldon
Wow, thats big! Yummy. Yes let durians fall by itself. In South East Asia, we love durians. A durian that size would be easily usd100. We are durian connoiseurs.
The best durian is durian that fall naturally to the ground. Indicating that its fully ripen. You'll lost the sweetness if you pluck or harvest it from the tree.
Thank you sir. I do like Durian too.. i proud of the owner this durian garden especially who plant durian in out of Asia.. i think durian only just found in Asia, but this video make me understand.. that not only Asia who like durian, but also out of Asia too.. I plant durian too, some varieties from Malaysia musang king, D24, varieties from Indonesia bawor, duri hitam, Petruk and others.. Good luck Mr.
Thank you for your update information. The quality of Bawor is like monthong or cha-nee from Thai, So bawor is well known as Monthong Bawor. The origin Variety is monthong/cha-nee and add occulation by some local varieties in Indonesia.
@@durianmastegal In Thailand, there are more than 600 varieties of durian collected by the Chanthaburi Plant Research Center from all over Thailand. Welcome those who are interested to study. About durian in Thailand.🙏
Wow right in my neck of the woods! Had no idea there was such a large planting of durians so close. I have bought some grafted Menta Durian trees and was wondering the source.....seems Don Carlos is it! Gonna have to talk to Jake about connecting with Don Carlos.
Hello Lindsay glad to see you still on your quest for more durians. How did you know about this farm in Costa Rica? Is this an old friend from when you first got to know about durians?
Here in California, we pay about USD$100 for a large fresh fruit, and they are never fully ripen, and you take a chance buying it, and 35% of the time you cannot eat it because it's just too raw and tasteless, then you have to toss it out because no returns accepted.
Wow!!! I had no idea durians had spread to the Americas. Wonder how the locals are taking to it.. 😁 Malaysians wait until the fruit drops off the tree. Thais will pick the fruit, so they're not as ripe. Should plant some rambutan and jackfruit...
@@freedom2explore my durian are south east varieties my collection mainly for my botanical gardens we don’t sale the fruit yet one day we willing for sales fruit 👊
