Costa Rica isn't known as a popular food destination, but it should be! Not only is Costa Rica packed with beautiful with rich green rain forests, gorgeous beaches, and abundant tropical wildlife, this country is filled with great restaurants and "soda"s serving up delicious Costa Rican foods, both traditional and modern, and from cheap to fancy! A typical Costa Rican complete "Casado" meal will cost as little as $7-11, or you can splurge for a nice $50+ meal. Costa Rican seafood is especially delicious and delectable! Your non foodie friends can still enjoy pasta, tacos, burgers, and other boring American fare. I ate very well on my 9 day Costa Rica adventure, but still ended up losing weight! Costa Rican diet seems to be healthier!
