I think she meant crocs are not of use to us monetarily like the tilapia not that the have no value to our eco system. Perhaps a simple misunderstanding.

@@jago-proud3110 you realize the more space the more biodiversity the region could have, Nicaragua and Costa Rica basically have the exact same flora and fauna. Costa Rica lacks a mountain pine forest and a savanna Caribbean pine forest. A biome found in other places in Central America including Nicaragua

Not necessarily, Costa Rica is the living example of that having a very small part of the planet it has 5 percent of all its species, do you see? What you say lacks of reality, if your argument was right the Sahara would have thousands of different species but it doesn't, Costa Rica is smaller than Nicaragua and we do have more species in more protected areas than Naicargua, 25 percent of our territory is protected the only country in the world doing that, sorry but you gotta accept it, Nicaragua is beautiful but Costa Rica is more 🙂 pura vida! @@jago-proud3110 Nicaragua could be more diverse than Costa rice if most of the land wasn’t used for agriculture or wasn’t part of the dry belt on the pacific of Central America, only northwestern Costa Rica is part of the dry belt. All of western Nicaragua is which pushes agriculture to the east where the mountains and rainforest is. Nicaragua is home to the LARGEST rainforest in Central America and the 2nd largest and most DIVERSE after the Amazon. Located in northeastern Nicaragua along the border with honduras. Nicaragua also has way more volcanoes and more different types than Costa Rica, it also has the 2 largest lakes in Central America. The land in Nicaragua has more biodiversity potencial than Costa Rica. Costa Rica just has more because it has way more protected areas cause they basically rely on tourism for their economy unlike Nicaragua that relies on agriculture for its economy.
