It didn’t take a long time to crack down on it, people are just complaining about it on social media more now. Videos like this are only going to make things worse honestly with people trying to sham instead of just buying a membership.

You signed the terms and agreements also membership is non-transferable and why should I pay membership and someone does not when you use someone else’s membership. Stop being cheap

I'm not a member; recently shopped with a member. She checked out with cash. Then I checked out with cash. Maybe good to know if you do not want your non-member friend's purchases on your credit card bill. As a non-member I do buy online some OTC pharmacy items that cost less than Walmart etc. BUT once the shipped item was example, 200 day supply, that I saw was going to expire in about 90 days. Took back to Costco store and they gave me "grief" to refund it. Said I had to mail it back. Another employee behind the counter heard and came over and that person gave the ok to give me a refund.

I don't understand all the drama. I'm an executive member and NEVER had a problem dealing with Costco. Still amazed me when I see people returning things after using it for a year. I saw an what appeared like an old soiled mattress being returned and they give them a refund.. their gas station is where they need to tighten up their membership security coz no one is checking membership. It's a privilege and not a right like your drivers license. It's their rules so deal with it.

Wish Costco cracks down on return abusers. I read an article years ago that it was 40 million dollars a year in abusive returns. I'm sure its over 100 million a year now. I heard stories over 10 years ago of college students buying a laptop, use it all semester, then return if for a full refund after finals. Basically a free rental. That's why Costco started the 90days return on electronics. People still abuse it by buying a camera for vacation, use it, and return it after they come back. Check out the return lines after Super Bowl. People returning large screen tvs after their Super Bowl parties. Costco does track returns. Some get letters and you have to be really bad to get that letter.

The empty cash card may be able to get you in the warehouse, but paying at the registers without a valid membership will be a challenge

Costco is not the cheapest. Sams and BJs compete as well. Groupon has Sams club membership for $20 year! They have pizza, hotdogs and have the same products. Costco sucks.

Costco sucks, I enter Walmart for free, don't have to pay $120 dollar fee every year to enter store

I don’t know why it matters who uses whose membership card, Costco is still getting money from purchases by the end of the day….my mother has a membership and I go with her to Costco and I pay for all her groceries with my debit card🤷🏻‍♀️

Costco making mad money so they can afford to do this. The only thing special in Costco is their gas, water and toilet paper. Everything else is about market price. Yeah I’m going to Costco for a crappy hotdog

@@tonjaspencer8339 they used to have a mom and paps feel about their store but it seems like they believe they have gotten to big to fail so they starting to phase out the things that made them so popular.
