Very similar to Kroger. No touch freight drop and hook average about 2 stops per load. Home daily off 2 days a week. I work between 40 to 45 hours a week about 1900 miles a week off Wednesday and Thursday made 75k last year and I'm near the bottom of seniority list for runs. Good cheap Teamster union benefits and pension. I highly recommend any grocery driving job its laid back and easy and you know grocery stores are always gonna be busy year round......

Their shifts rotate. And the system is rigged against you so your hours are capped. 2 pm start time 10 pm end time. 8 hour shifts basically. In my area they pay $24 an hour. Considering the equipment yea ok they got nice polished Pete’s. I much rather ride a broken truck to hussle but have a solid income. Food service is the way to go but if you want any kind of advice, go for the companys that pay by the load and they got multiple contracts. Trust me when I tell you your gonna be making fuel hauler type of money. And yes in a not so shining rig.

Are you looking for a driving job at Costco? The sumner depot is hiring another 17 drivers, starting pay $25 hr after 6 months $27.35 and after a year $30.10, 8 hr days or nights and time and half on sundays. Awesome benefits

Same when i was with trainer he was harping how costco was so great and how he's been unloaded in 30 minutes and on the road again then we waited 6 hours to get a dock door when we arrived lol

Depends on the time of year you are delivering and what depot you are delivering to. Usually once you get in the gate and get door assigned you will be unloaded in less than an hour. If you get through the gate and are sent to secondary, that means they are really busy and can take longer, normally that doesn’t happen often but also depends on locations and time of year.

Worked there for 5 years. Only reason I left was because we moved out of state and couldn’t transfer due to the terminals where I was moving weren’t hiring. Good company union, teamsters good pay excellent benefits. The terminal I was at unfortunately was full of toxic ppl, and made the job rough. But if you can ignore all that it is a real solid place to work.

They start at 60k I would love to go straight to a company just like that but that starts at 90k I don't wanna leave my job to get paid less there isn't to many places that pay for experience that sux being pretty much perfect for 20 yrs and to start at 60k

Yeah I was looking at Costco last year. I was dropping a load at a store outside Seattle & one of the LTL drivers told me they’re easy runs, drop & hook & great benefits. I actually got my 3 years in this month so once I renew my DOT physical I’ll apply.

I worked here. They are very picky. Best advise find out when the heaviest hiring time is. Otherwise there application just goes into the file cabinet. Likely apply august. Some areas March.

What are the typical start times for shifts at Costco?

Depends on the depot but the one here in New Jersey has about 10 different shifts every single day. Start time.... 8 AM 12 PM 3 PM 5 PM 7 PM 9 PM 11 PM 12:15 AM 2 AM 4 AM. Each shift runs 8 hours period of course you're open to working as much overtime as you want. Your days off very but if you're the new guy you're most likely gonna have weekdays off

I'm a truck driver from Germany with 5 years of experience and no accidents until now (fortunately) Is there any chance for someone from overseas to get hired? I'm doing exactly the same work as the guy in the video, it would match perfectly. I heard of the H2B visa but I don't know if Costco consider the work for application as worth it

I say just apply for the positions and see where the applications lead you. It’ll ask you if you’re citizen or not. If not probably input your info and hopefully they call you back. Any Job in the US will ask you the same questions. I’m the process of getting my CDL and it’s taking longer then I want cause classes are always full. But I’ll try to apply for this job no matter what and see what kind of respond I get back since they need drivers. Doesn’t hurt to apply for sure

So i was offered a Job from "costco" i dont believe it was actually them maybe 3rd party wasnt drop and hook was delivering appliances we didnt discuss pay or anything gave them my I.D and said i start the next day therefore i turned it down because no pay or work hours were discussed so i couldn't set myself up like that

Costco's main hub in Southern California is a mad house!! It's off the 60fwy and 15 fwy on Riverside Dr. In Mira Loma This place is very picky on who the hire. You need a perfect driving record!! And minimum of 3 years experience.

@@rafa4barca. I know how you feel, the 1st year is gonna be a rough one. After that things begin to get better. I worked for a truck driving agency called ProDrivers in Ontario. They have good local jobs that pay well. I finally got hire on at a job who needed a permanent driver after I completed 1000 hours. Working for the agency allowed me to try other driving jobs to see if it was a good fit for me. Good luck👍

@@curiousgeorge7508 Every driver slips seats no matter if you have 6 days on the job or 30 years on the job Costco runs their tractors all day long usually 2 drivers per truck so you will have the same truck every day you will just share it with another guy. For instance if you work 12P to 10 PM another driver will use it from 12 AM so whenever hes done and then you will get back in it

You gotta have no brain to work as a driver with 2 year experience for Costco. Get your own truck instead . Plenty of loads , and you can make 5 times more money as an Owner Operator.
