Thanks for this! I wanted to switch from my grocery store to Costco but wasn't sure what the prices were. I've found the beef quality has gone down where I buy it, I also buy a lot but wasn't sure if Costco was worth it. Holy smokes! It's like $5-$10 cheaper per kg! Anyway, now I know where I should be shopping.
Mechanical tenderizers use blades or needles to pierce meat and break connective tissue and muscle fibers. This improves the tenderness of meat. The best way to ensure it's safe to eat is to thoroughly cook all mechanically tenderized meat to an internal temperature of 145°F. Not all the beef sold in Costco is mechanically tenderized, it is usually labeled as such.
Were Cattle farmers. Can't go to the store anytime you want. The women go to Costco to stock up. Hungry Cowboys here. You can't get any better than Costco. Adios 🇺🇸🐴
