Benny came to Nairobi either in 1999 or 2000 and my sick aunt travelled to the city to be prayed for by the man of God. She was declared healed of blood cancer. Unfortunately she died thereafter. Believe me she sold much of her possessions to sow into his ministry. I pray for Benny's soul, may God lead him to sincere repentance.
Hello Sunshine you don’t know that. Look at Paul the Apostle. He was murdering christians and he repented. Until a person is dead, God has the ability to call anyone to repentance. Only God knows Benny’s heart and mine and He is able to do anything.

Something I'd really like to hear Costi explain is how do these prosperity teachers, who teach healing for all who believe, get around the fact that some of them wear glasses?
I would guess they don't think it serious enough to ask God to heal their vision. But one of these prosperity preachers went and got Lasik surgery, then during service removed his glasses, said that God healed him, and led us in prayers of thanksgiving for his healing...all without telling the congregation (of over 5000) that he'd had surgery. True story; I went to that church at the time and sat there and watched the whole thing. Only later did I hear another pastor at the church tell that the preacher'd had surgery. It's all a scam.

I was shipwrecked in the faith in ‘94_’95; but unfortunately some of their attitude was still a major influence, and followed me back to the mission field; and I was finally fired and asked to leave my beloved community. I then relocated back across the country to Seattle, where my relationship w/ my dad was largely healed - he even met a couple of my pastors, but sadly held onto his atheism!

I was too since I was 6yo. I was in it for 30 years until I got too sick to physically go. From there I learnt the truth of God's word and haven't ever gone back to WoF or NAR churches.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and to tell you the truth, if Mr. Copeland truly repents of His ways and starts preaching the true Gospel to his congregation, it will most likely run many of them out of his church and I don't know about you, but when I think of the way so many are currently falling for the lies of such men as Mr. Copeland, one passage that often comes to me is 2 Timothy 4:3-4, where we are warned by the apostle Paul that the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts they will raise up for themselves teachers, having itching ears and they will turn their ears away from the Truth and will turn to fables.
To tell you the truth, that is not for you nor me to know and if the Lord were to call Mr. Copeland, he would repent, believe the Truth and be saved, which is possible while he is still alive and if he dies in his current condition, it is "game over" for him, because Hebrews 9:27 makes it clear that it is appointed for man once to die, but after this comes judgement. Also, it is only his chosen who will repent and believe and when it comes to this topic, one passage that comes to me is the first few verses of John 10. If you'll take a moment to read it, you'll see the picture.

I have heard Costi speak on other channels and he lives fairly humbly with his wife and family. He drives a little Honda I think and just lives his life as an associate pastor at a medium sized congregation. He has completely separated himself from that world and prays for his family consistently. Costi is on the level.
Costi can't give back the ministry money, he's not in control of it. I believe his restitution is exposing this to the world. He's paying a price being ostricized by his mafia family.

You're absolutely right! There are plenty of wolves in sheep's clothing out there and what you've said reminds me of Matthew 24:11, where we are warned by Jesus Himself that many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. Also, as the day of Jesus's return and the end of history draws nearer, those wolves will be on the increase. In fact, in 2 Timothy 3:13, the apostle Paul makes it clear that evil men and seducers will wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. Plus, in the first two verses of 2 Peter 2, the apostle Peter declares that as there were false prophets who rose up among the people, so will there be false teachers among you who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them and bringing swift destruction on themselves and many will follow their pernicious ways, because of whom the Way of Truth will be blasphemed.

Poverty & suffering are two things that we'll all experience many times, that's what this life is, a place to suffer & learn. Great suffering gains great Grace which we can transmit to others. All my merits are transferred to Soul in Purgatory.

The criticism is okay but they clump sickness and persecution all into the box of suffering. Jesus still heals today and there are spirits that need to be cast out like Jesus told us. Show me in scripture where Jesus said it’s your call to die of cancer or sickness. He never said it. He did say we would suffer for preaching his word.
Brother Costi, keep moving forward with what God has burned in your heart. God's people need leaders who risk all, deny ourselves, and follow after Jesus.
You may wish God is at work in your life, but you can not only love God for every 'good deed' he does, you got to start loving his message as well and bring that into your own life, which is hard at times with for example in the case of witchcraft attacks. I did noticed demons that smelled like death, and praying, learning, calling Jesus his name helped already a lot in my defense, that is more than any life filosophy can give. Aimee Semple MacPherson did what you say here - so did John G. Lake. He sent his students out to the sick & told them not to return until the client was healed. And they had the healthiest city. They used to bring ambulances to the Temple where Aimee had her apt all day & night & she healed everyone. She had a genuine Anointing. Healed more people than anyone on earth except Our Lord.
Anyone who claims to have a spiritual or other such solution which can be obtained through their hands alone must be regarded askance (Book Of Ezekiel, 13: 1-23; Gospel Of Matthew, 7: 15-23 & 24: 3-5 & 23-25)! Costi Hinn deserves every credit for having learned the right lessons from his own life story and for having therefore found the truth who is the REAL Jesus Christ (Book Of Isaiah, 53, 4-12; Gospel Of John, 1: 1-34 & 3: 1-21 & 14: 1-7)!
Yes it is abusive and so wrong. So grateful, as a Christian since the 90,s in the last 7 years ive learned to separate the 2, and well grounded in The Precious Gospel of Jesus Christ. I think the worst was telling you well, u arent getting healed because u dont have enough faith.
I've seen a mother standing over the casket of her daughter, being told her daughter would have lived "if the mother would not have had 'unconfessed sin' in her life." That is absolutely heartwrenching to hear. I can't imagine that as a father, being told my sin caused my child's death. 😢😢😢😭😭😭

One way to defeat these Prosperity Preachers is people who have a genuine Anointing - like I do - should go out there & heal people. And not be greedy or materialistic. People followed Jesus not because of doctrine, but the healings & miracles. I've just started a new strategy. I'm going out to the bars & restaurants in towns where I know people & asking them to write down what they want from God. Collecting their prayer requests, it's my new idea to build a Church. And within days their prayers are being answered - all kinds of prayers. I will prove myself to these people eventually & they will want to have a place to meet regularly. These people will not normally repent, they will breed more like themselves because when unscrupulous people see how much they gain, they want the rewards. It will take a lot to counter this corruption, but it can be done. God can do it.

Still, full restitution needs to be made to prove true repentance not just by Benny Hinn but also by Costi Hinn for the millions he made during his own work with that ministry. When we repent do we not turn away from all ~ or as Zaccheus give 1/2 to the poor and at least try to restore 1 x what each of millions or Billions have sold precious items to give Him for His lies... if He must sell all he owns and give it to the poor and follow Jesus as the paupers his followers became at his instructions ~ then should not both of them do the same?

The difference between Costi and Zach was that Zach knew it was wrong. Costi was deceived he wasn’t genuinely swindling people from the sound of it. He was just along for the ride and believed what he was taught. You couldn’t call him a thief really since he didn’t know what he was doing was wrong.

Part of the problem is people do not discern scripture for how its meant to be. There are so many branches of the “prosperity gospel” and they are robbing the christians of Gods true word. In the end times, even the very elect may be deceived if not in the word. We need to look to Jesus for salvation, not men.
Give money to charities, for orphanages to help children who are suffering, help pastors who are poor, help those who need a church, africa india china. But don't keep all to yourself. Share it. I am sure benny Hinn can live comfortably on interest all that money made him.

First of all when a person repents; they repent before the Lord and the Holy Spirit will direct them as to what to do, and not anothet person. Who says you only nee 1 house and 2 cars-sounds like judgement unless the Lord specfically told you this amount. In the case of King Solomon he acquired great wealth because at some point he pleased God and I'm sure people of that day had problems with that too. The video of the pipe pin he gave to that man, that is a Hookah and is a cultural thing they do in the middle east. Plus it was a very old film. All of us if, the light where shined and the cameras on us would be caught doing something that looks suspious, even if it wasn't. As far as healing; if people are walking by faith and understand the word of God; they healed already whether or not they ever see the actual manifestation of it. The problem with that is most people take the word of a person rather than the word of God. It is something we have to take and war with in the spirit with after an anointed meeting. We cannot just think, "ok, this person touched me and I don't need to continue fight anymore." So, in short we all need to repent of our own motives, idolatry, jealousy, lack of understanding or anything else and make sure our life is airtight with the Lord.

The question is was it true repentance as illustrated in the bible? I can't see that. Also it's not the first time he's made such a confession. You must bear the fruit of repentance (Matthew 3:8).

Nothing he said was repentance he just changed/adjusted his theology and didn't even reject the prosperity gospel only asking X amount for a specific reward.
