Props for effort but the amount of man hours to build this and the cost of the parts far supersedes the price of a new paper shredder with same or better capabilities. I realize it's not all about money every time, so I give thumbs up regardless. Thx for video.

Ottimo lavoro. ti consiglio però di separare l'elettronica dai trucioli e realizzare un raccoglitore sotto, magari con un cassetto estraibile. Inoltre vedendo in generale i tuoi video, ti consiglio di mettere dei puntalini isolati sui cavi per tutte le connessioni elettriche a vite, potrai serrare meglio il cavo e non avrai quelle fastidiose uscite di piccoli pezzi di rame visibili. ovviamente questi sono solo dettagli che non compromettono assolutamente la funzionalità del progetto. La macchinetta può essere poggiata su un contenitore e far cadere i trucioli su di esso, ma il video stava diventando troppo lungo e non ho messo questa parte, ma avrei dovuto metterla anche di 10 secondi. per i puntalini ti do ragionissima, ho anche fatto ultimamente uso di questi puntali nei video e ti dico la verità, facendo prove, fasando i motori, attacca e stacca me ne sono dimenticato (non mi linciate!) :D Grazie ancora

THANK YOU. I have been trying to figure out how to make one of these cheaply for a long time. With respect, I will set mine up to use a corded drill. Also, I think the teeth may be cut to the wrong shape. You might have better luck with a shallow angle so that it is less a knife and more of an incisor. Perhaps doubling them up might also make them "bite" better rather than cut. Good luck with whatever you decide, and thank you again.

After you get yours all set up it would be cool if you did a walk around video of what you used and what is modified for your needs. So other people such as myself can get ideas for our own projects. @@lowellhouser7731 That'll take a bigger bite out of the metal/plastic, smart. I have a buddy that works in HVAC, for the motor or motors (haven't decided yet) I'm going to try to overkill it by getting multi speed blower motors from heating systems he replaces. I already took a squirrel cage fan that he gave me years ago and made a roll around shop fan for the garage with spade connectors to change the speeds.

So, an Arduino feeds two relays which feed another relay which powers the motors. Which could have been done by the switch. Just fit a double pole, center off switch and remove the step-downs, Arduino, relays and most of the wiring. One way forward, the other reverse. Simples. Spend the money saved on a bigger, faster motor. Two cheap gears on one end and you only need one motor.

Il reverse relay è in realtà un minirelè a doppio scambio della finder con bobina a 12V. Incrociando le uscire No e NC si ottiene l'inversione di polarità allo scattare del relè. all corect ,the electronics -nice ,but you have 2 things wrong 1-the teeth sharpness is wrong /must be 90 degree 2/the spacing between the teeth (closer ),in fact one another one -1 mm distance /that s why it is not working corectly /enyway nice job

Ottimo progetto. Per esperienza ti dico che sotto sforzo le barre filettate in acciaio eroderanno il tubo di alluminio che le tiene in asse, sul lungo periodo. Ti consiglio di resinarle in appositi cuscinetti a sfera da incastrare poi nel legno

diciamo che sarebbero il caso limite perchè l'ho costruito un po' piccolo. Se hai la possibilità costruiscilo almeno il doppio e utilizza motori da tergicristallo o alzacristalli elettrici.

Veramente interessante, anche se non capisco bene la funzione dell'elettronica in questo progetto... il relè fa cambiare il senso di rotazione, ma immagino sia pilotato manualmente dall'interruttore. Ma a questo punto basta un interruttore deviatore. In quanto agli arduino... :? Mistero, non essendo un elettronico mi sfugge la cosa. Il progetto è bello, l'idea delle rondelle e dei chiodi (per limarli ci avrai messo tanto) geniale. Non hai costruito il cesto di raccolta, immagino sia una scelta voluta: il farlo sarebbe stato semplice con 5 tavole. Hai usato un alimentatore (uno da PC va benissimo in quanto escono i 12V). Il raccordo per l'albero del motorino è stato geniale, io mi aspettavo che smontassi un connettore mammuth e invece... bello costruirselo da soli. :) Un ottimo progetto, curato nel montaggio video, nella costruzione, senza parole (quindi lo si può capire in qualsiasi lingua) e che dà spunti anche per altre idee... congratulazioni! :)

Grazie per la recensione. L'elettronica con Arduino gestisce l'inversione automatica. Un sensore che legge la corrente che passa nel circuito considera una soglia impostata da me che corrisponderebbe allo sforzo limite dei motori quando si incastra un truciolo. In questo caso Arduino fa scattare il suo rele e di conseguenza il minirelè finder che inverte la polarità dei motori per qualche secondo in modo da liberare il meccanismo dai trucioli che provocano lo sforzo. Ho anche gestito, avendo Arduino a disposizione, lo start-stop della macchinetta, l'inversione manuale e il suono per un verso e per l'altro (beep-beep....) Questa macchinetta ti da la possibilità di poggiarla su un contenitore ed attivarla per questo non ne ho costruito uno di raccolta suo. L'alimentatore è a 24V, non proviene da un pc, alimentavo una stripled e l'ho recuperato per fare questo progetto. il raccordo mammuth crea problemi di eccentricità soprattutto se devi raccordare due diametri diversi.
