Touker always has to launch himself at anything he goes to sit on. He broke a bed, he broke a baby carrier, and I'm surprised all the beans didn't fly out of this and go all over the studio.

I can't think of a better way to alienate potential investors than telling them you don't care about money too much.

He is very smart. He never wanted their investment, that would have ruined his life, the one I'm envious of. He just went there for the free 15 minutes marketing advert that, at the very least, helped sell quite a lot more big boys. I prefer this guy's life than any of the so-called dragons'.

Deborah is right. I worked for a few months for a “Family business “. The whole family is looking over your shoulder each one thinking they are the boss. So I finished up working for 4 bosses with different ideas and they almost stopped working, just sitting around the office having coffee all day, coming into my workspace looking around every 10 minutes one at the time. Nerve racking I tell you. They had 3 staff including me. They left and I left. One of the daughters had asked me to spy and report on the other two employees. I declined and left.

Thank God they got rid of that 'reaction room'. Touker gave great advice though. This guy just needs to pay someone about 100k to come and run his business for him.

This is where dragons den fall short of shark tank because in shark tank if they heard that he was happy with this current lifestyle someone would have offered 51% for the company and then hired somebody to run the global side so he can enjoy his family side of the business

as an Accountant it always amazes me that they don t gett the financials memorised in advance! also they sometimes underplay their results by not understanding costs which are p and l , and those that are not!,i would never leave a client that exposed!

What an absolutely lovable guy. I really hope his business took off after this at least to some degree cus I wish them nothing but the best. The reaction room was kind of a neat idea, but you could tell that the producers were egging them on for content at the start. Felt very unnatural and forced. All this guy needs to do is hire some to handle an online section to the business. They could still manufacture them at the same rate and retain the family business side of things without moving premises or whatever. Plus having it online would only increase sales with basically no risk. Seems like a no brainer. Getting a dragon involved would've been horrible, so the free advertising getting on Dragons Den would've done for them is probably the best case scenario in all honesty

I like him as a person but out here in the US there’s a huge beanbag company called loveSac. It goes from small to massive (for multiple people), comes in any kind of fabric like velvet or leather AND you can get accessories (pockets, cup holder...) I truly hope the best for him.

5:07 Deborah doesn't know what a balance sheet is. An income statement is the financial statement with turnover/revenue at the top. The balance sheet lists the assets, liabilities, and equity. In his case, the balance sheet would refer to cash in the bank as he questioned, along with inventory, receivables, payables, and loans.

I think their advice was on point, what they have as a family business is great and it's not worth giving away equity for something you could get from a good consultant
