Let's get cosy! Cosy & relaxing rainy day in the greenhouse. This week in my cottage garden, the rain was pouring, so I decided to get into the greenhouse. I love the sound of rain against the glass, and in the garden, it is so relaxing. Gives me ASMR vibes!
I also planted my dahlia tubers and potted on seedlings.

Nettles are highly medicinal. If she’s chosen you I’d continue to grow her, on a sunny sill if not outside. Harvest for tea, broth, fertiliser even. But work with her, don’t let the stigma of misinformation and social conditioning tell you otherwise. I gave up my coffee for these teas and can’t even begin to express how magical it is to work with these plants 😍❤️🙏 (P.S Thank you for your lovely energy ❤️)

@rebeccarendle3706
@rebeccarendle3706 2 года назад
@@DaintyDiaries thank you Catherine 👍😊. Sorry I have to ask but what is the difference between wall paint and satin/eggshell? I thought those were types of wall paint?🙈... Sorry🙏.. I have no clue about paint🙈.. I have only ever painted indoor walls.. And always Dulux basic bright white matt wall paint😬
@amethystchi7512
@amethystchi7512 2 года назад
@@rebeccarendle3706 as far as I know wall paint is emulsion, satin and eggshell are usually used on surfaces like furniture, woods, metals etc (although you can get satin emulsion too, so maybe its the stuff that gives the sheen in the paint you need to avoid). If I was trying this I would go with the matt emulsion and plaster of paris. However, I hope someone corrects me if I am mistaken :) x

Hi Catherine🌷, You actually inspired me to plant bulbs😊! It's autumn here, so I got my early spring bulbs: daffodils, hyacinths and muscari. And you've also reminded me to check when I'm supposed to replant my ranunculus corms- I forgot that I'd stored them from last year's plants😅. Hopefully I'll plant the former this week( as it says on the bulb packet). I just have to work up the courage to go near my potting soil bag in the garage. We found 2 snakes🐍🐍 trying to hibernate in a box underneath the shelf the potting soil is on last week🥴. Luckily, they weren't particularly venomous and the snake catcher caught them. Still...🙃 I may be wrong🤔, but I think you don't have to pull the spring onions to harvest. I vaguely remember having the task of being sent outside by my grandma when I was little, to cut the spring onion leaves with a scissors for her cooking. Thank you for sharing this calming, peaceful vlog🌻. Stay safe and well🌷.

Great video Katherine! Love your energy. Your lovely looking soil in the raised beds is giving me the gardeners itch! We are only zone 6A here on Nova Scotias South Shore. Little early for putting tender plants out. In recent years I have given up on most of my gardening. Deer and crows and bugs and racoons have just plane beaten me. Our yards aren't walled like yours so grazers have free range in from the woodland behind us. I get my garden pleasures from you and your wonderful yard. Keep up the good work.
