I have to say that as much of an amateur you are in woodworking, you've managed to make a kitchen I'm inspired to get ideas from. And working in a cabinet company it's honestly refreshing to see such an original looking design & setting style as what you've built, thanks for sharing. 😁👍

Well done! I really like your honesty showing a van conversion done by a “non-professional”. In most videos, everything seems so easy and I end up creating new complexes for myself! Here you show the reality, with a great sense of humor, and I think it really helps those who, like me, are planning to convert a van into a little house on wheels. And the result is stunning! I love your kitchen, so cute, and the result is really homy and cozy. Stapling things to the floor. Haha! That really got me. I'm a complete make-it-up-as-you-go power tool user and anything can happen. The only thing I've really learnt is that EVERY task takes at least THREE times as long to do as you envision. Perserverance (plus being safety-prepared for anything) is key to some type of success.

Dear Josie, what a lovely kitchen you created! Thank you for letting us see the process. I am renovating a caravan at the moment because I don't like the sterile and boring vibe of the manufacturer's furniture. The smaller and bigger imperfections of your design make all the difference and I hope to become as bold as you in tolerating them so that I don't switch one boring interior to another, even if it looks perfect. The only thing that would worry me about using so much heavy timber in your build is that all the extra weight is going to mean a lot of extra fuel needed on the road. Given the current fuel prices and the amount of kilometres to travel (in Australia, for me) that would make it quite expensive. I presume you're planning to travel around the UK which, at least, doesn't have the same distance to worry about.

You needed to put a clear varnish on the tree branch (its wood) (matte or gloss ur choice) to keep it from flaking and molding bt thats ok i guess😅 you could still do it just use a small brush to minimize dripping n mess

You can get really cheap led lights from supermarkets with little green leaves on them that would suit your vibe perfectly. I think a little bit more natural green from real plants (Cactai and succulents are fantastic for this) and some thick, traditional wool blankets (the good old fashioned kind!) would really help warm the space a bit to counter the cooling effect of all that white wood. It's looking great.

Oh my word! I am in love with your inspirationalism, your cheeriness, your eye for individual style design, your good humour, your ability to up- cycle bits of everything- especially the wood pallets and thank you for making me chuckle whilst trying to eat my homemade vegetable and lentil soup( and almost choked myself). Haha. Thank you so much. I just wish I had all those power tools and knew how to use them. I use a rusty 25 year old saw, hammer, screws and a drill. That is all I have but I have managed to fix my fence with bits of wood that people were discarding. Next I am making a garden seat ( no back bit) out of pallet wood. Take care lovely lady. I'd absolutely love to have a traditional kitchen look like this--it's fabulous! Kudos to you for starting from scratch, with no experience, and just plain figuring it all out! The bigger issues, plumbing & electric wiring, weren't addressed--maybe another video? Brava! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Agh yes so the electric/ gas / welding and plumbing and all things like that - I actually paid the pros to do it - (that felt like a step too much for me - though I’m always so impressed with others who do that themselves 😍😍😍.. but for me learning building and carpentry was a big enough challenge 😅 ) I’ll probs do a video on the systems I have , but no building ones of them I’m afraid 💕

at first, i didnt see the vision for the cabinet doors and thought they were kind of ugly, but as the kitchen came together as a whole they really looked awesome, as did the entire kitchen. Context is everything i suppose. Very impressive build and very unique!

That kitchen is a work of art. You may be new to building, but I think that gives your build added charm! You weren't concerned with doing it the 'right' way, but I think you covered building it safe. I didn't see a smoke/CO2 detector anywhere about the place, and a fire extinguisher is a must (I would have one at the front and one near the bed). Your cupboard doors are adorable, as are the cupboards themselves. You've created a cosy, welcoming space filled with quixotic charm, cleverness and beauty.
