Paula, I just might have to 'give it a go' this year and make the vanilla extract - it looks so easy too. Your idea of giving them as gifts early, such as Thanksgiving, is a wonderful idea. I'm glad we were invited into The French Mercantile 🗼as their displayed merchandise really speaks to me. The blue gingham apron 💙💙💙, the tea towels and the aprons in the jars - brilliant!! Your gathered blueberries looked like summer in a bucket. Stay cool, my friends 😎

Loved seeing your thrift shop, Paula. And way to go...getting ready for Christmas now! I know people do not like Hobby Lobby putting Christmas things out in July but crafters do need to get their supplies and get busy. It has been so hot here that we have been inside for the most part. So stitching and reading have been my activities during the heat wave.

Hi Chris - the dishcloths are a love em or hate em kind of thing LOL! I actually also really like Swedish dishcloths which dry MUCH quicker.

The bookmarks are so cute! I’m terrible at sewing but do have a child’s sewing machine so I may give it a try. I have a lemon ricotta pancake recipe that I make and top with blueberry syrup. So delicious!

Your dogs are adorable 🥰 I love morning walks but my one year old dachshund, Daisy Delilah, is definitely not a morning dog. She would much rather go back to bed and snuggle under her blankets ❤❤ Thank you for the vanilla extract recipe, it will certainly be more economical to do it that way and it would be fun to use different alcohols to get different flavours.

Hi Andrea! Thank you - I love my back garden, although we are having a terrible drought right now so it is looking a little worse for the wear! I did use cotton thread for the dishcloth. The brand I used is Sugar and Cream. So glad you enjoyed the video! Take care 🥰

Our Habitat here where I live is VERY expensive and they mostly have furniture,lighting, paint, hardware items. Very few cutie decorative things. I rarely go there. And one of our other thrift stores decided to triple their prices on their items so I quit shopping there for the most part. I think I will have to make a thimbleberry syrup as that berry grows here. Similar to a raspberry. These berries may grow in N. Vermont.

I hate them as well….they stay wet for so long and therefore the bacteria increases dramatically….I wanted to love them but u fortunately I do not and have tried them many times…oh well…thanks for the video…happy summer vacation and crafting.

The dish cloths are definitely not the most popular craft! LOL. I totally understand what you’re saying. Have you ever tried Swedish dishcloths? They dry super fast!
