I don't think he mentioned that the skin is really thick and tough. Boy, is it sweet! My experience has been it's best to eat these very firm, and don't expect fiberless. But so far I've only eaten a few.
Yes the skin is indeed fairly thick which is a good trait to have since the fruit doesn’t damage as easily. We haven’t found it to have noticeable fiber though. Cultural conditions could have an impact on that.
