Sadly I'm going to top work mine, 80% of the fruit at my location suffered from jelly seed, the ones that were good, were great, so after picking the last fruit a couple weeks ago, I whipped out the chainsaw, I will leave one branch with Cotton candy, and will be looking to graft another late variety or two on it, next spring. Yes I tried the calcium, didn't help much, my Pickering right next to it, never had any problem. nor any of my other trees. could be my high water table here in Hollywood, or my beach sand soil. Cotton candy at my place were very clean on the outside, the tree is/was very productive, also a vigorous grower, contenders for the future grafting, are, Carla, Honey kiss, or Orange essence. which are all supposed to be mid-late season, haven't decided which ones yet.
Paul Cotton Candy is definitely a Excellent variety it's also in my top 5 best eating in my opinion...but is it really a late season mango I been eating Cotton Candy since June in CENTRAL Florida .
