I like how no one is buying and paying attention to the machine but as soon as someone buy people gather around it with their phones out and when it finishes they go back to not giving a shit about the machine.
RaveSault hahah.. I know what you mean by that as that mostly happens to me also when I’m in a supermarket you think your the only one looking at the things on the shelf that are perhaps on sale then realise there’s a crowd gathered behind you 😆
Grace Wood probably the children that can't wait... But me.... I could have stood there for hours waiting, because all the cotton candy that I can find is the ones in containers that they sell ONLY at the cinema, and it cost like $5 for a little container... It is not even good.... :((
@@rebeccalotto8001 you got easy gun ownership laws... that's beautiful . Most civilians in other countries would love to be able to have one , with how dangerous it is
I wish I could have live witnessed one man purchasing multiple cotton candies from this machine one after the other and scarfing them down. I aspire to be this carefree.
For whoever curious about this thing. This machine is in Taiwan, you can tell for the words on the vending machine, they're traditional Chinese, so it's 100 TWD for 3.32 USD . And the people who wear masks don't get coronavirus, they wear masks is because they are accustomed to wearing masks in Taiwan and the government hopes that people should wear masks to prevent droplet transmission. The epidemic prevention system in Taiwan is doing a good job . So that's all the answers you asked for.
I feel like a s**t now because I was trying to convert from Yuan to USD and wondering why someone would pay $15 for cotton candy and yeah... I'm an idiot. Thanks for clearing it up for me. Ha!
As soon as i saw the bill, i knew it's in Taiwan. Yes, Taiwanese usually wear masks. I've lived there for a year. I think it's in Ximending, Taiwans shopping district. It must be new because i haven't noticed it before
In Christmas, in my city suddenly appeared some fancy ballons with led lights inside them. Yeah, shining ballons with different patterns everywhere. The cost? $5 or even more at some parks or mall centers... Never bought one.
Helium is not so cheap. Plus vending machines are pricey to maintain and the places who put them up probably want a cut of the profits. Also people love vending machines because they are not just what you get but also the experience and convenience of it. Wouldn't you charge that money if you knew people would pay it? I don't think it's extremely expensive, since it's not something you regularly would do. They should've made the balloons prettier though like flying chicken or something fitting.
*i love how kpop songs are literally everywhere!* 05:14 Seventeen - Aju Nice 06:51 Red Velvet - Dumb Dumb 08:18 Red Velvet - Ice Cream Cake 08:36 Momoland - Bboom Bboom 10:43 Momoland - I'm So Hot 11:14 BeatBurger - She So High and the robot waving goodbye aww
@rose rose The box might be filthy, but the cotton candy never touched it. Also, your hands themselves probably are a thousand times filthier than the whole machine.
Still the same, because the only thing being touched in the open stall ones is the stick, which is no different from this since people have to stock them
@@rors5079 it does touch part of the machine, when it changes the shape. Also the hand bit is irrelevant since 1) you aren't eating your hands, while you are eating the cotton candy, and 2) you can just wash your hands, you can't wash the food
Chibi Mochu not really, it's easyfor a machine to stay in a specific position and just rotate the head at a constant rate.and then the arm would just move up and down for the patterns, just roasting a set amount in between. Relatively precise, yes, but not too difficult.
Programming that thing to do all those in different settings with precise amounts of powder used, the exact amount of rotations for all of it, and the arm's movement and position is very difficult. I mean with enough dedication, patience, and time the result would indeed be satisfying but I'd rather just learn how to spin a cotton candy in a circle. Rather than praising the machine, you should praise the ones who made that thing. There are many other things much more difficult to program , yes, but this is still quite difficult.
@@cirej5137 you realise time consuming and difficult aren't the same thing? in simpler terms you wouldn't call placing 500 pens, each into it's own separate slot, difficult. it's just time consuming. Also, as with coding, you will develop strategies along the way that will make it go faster even.
The Cotton Candy Vending Machine is almost art. Definitely a lot of thought has gone into the way it moves, how it sculpts shapes, the little dance the robot arm does when it re-loads a fresh stick, more than you would expect from a utilitarian device.
I just watched a cotton candy experiment and now i am watching a cotton camdy vending machine. What am i even doing in my life? Edit:I just ate cotton candy today O-O
As someone who's worked a cotton candy machine before, I don't even want to _think_ about how often they likely service that machine to keep the viewing window that clean.
LOL, the cotton candy machine reminded me of the balloon machine that I used to love watching as a kid (there was a place that had both a cotton candy and a balloon machine next to each other) and then at 11:14 it's the Balloon machine! It's funny how it looks like it functions the same as similar machines did almost 30 years ago, just with a new outer shell. The way the machine works and even the stopper are the same (just different logo on the balloon), it really amuses me :)
@@rida9639 no they're siblings I went back and watched an old video and he said she was his sister, I thought that too at first like everyone else because they never specified or talked about their relationship.
They have this at the shop in Bundaberg QLD Australia, it only does one flavour and shape since its made with actual sugar cane and is supposed to be a healthy alternative but i tried it and it wasnt bad it was also cool seeing it work
this channel saved my life!!! i am here feeling so boring because of the quarantine and them i found you guys and every day i spent my time seeing your videos. i loved it,please keep going recording this; #greetingsfrombrazil
@@nightshade1621 There is a new green/white grape that has a slight cotton candy taste. Expensive even here in Aus but they are very refreshing and sweet!
That is amazing. I can guess there's sort of programmed rig at the bottom that coordinates pumps of specified colored/flavored sugars to be pumped to the sugar spinner with the addition of the pre-programmed shaping rig (via computer) and other tools in the viewing area, air helps get the candy adhere. Great technology.
It also looked pretty fluffy, it would dissolve well with saliva. Just lick your teeth clean lol. Acidic foods and drinks are worse for teeth than sugar is. Between them that would have been 4 tablespoons of sugar, not very much in comparison to a Coca Cola that has around 10 tablespoons of sugar per bottle!
Yay another vending machine video ! I’m addicted to this thanks to you mr dancing bacons Edit: I just watched the whole video and when the balloon vending machine appeared I thought it’s so silly until it started blowing the balloon and attached a thread into it! So cool!!
OMG this makes me feel like we are in the future, too bad this is not in the rest of the world, it would be nice if this could reach the rest of the world.
D Sagar actually because the sugar is spread out over a large area only 2-3 tablespoons are needed to make it. That is about the same amount of sugar found in 100% apple juice 🤷🏼♀️
