Balverines seem to be the only consistent creatures in Albion. Unlike Hobbes who seemed to have hidden away, Balverines have grown stronger and more intelligent. Anyway, great video Sky! Keep it up!
This reminds of of every Fable player’s sworn duty for every play though. You must spell shit instead of Hits at the Witchwood demon door. That is all.
In fable 3 when infiltrating Reever's mansion there are several black balverine's. They are there as party guests that seem normal and of average intelligence for the fable world. This causes the scene where Reever's butler get's ate for trying to be romantic with one. So they seem to be able to pass as normal people.
Imagine being able to use the statue of the white balverine in fable 3 to become the white pack leader balverine and switch to and from it at will like the other guy did. Hero-king/Alpha Balverine, shit would be sick
and infect Hobson, some high ranking members of the Royal army, Ben Finn, Reaver and your wife/queen. It would be like a secret society like Reaver's party.
Balverines are my favorite beasts. =) Even though they're a headache to beat. XD Yes, I would love to live in Silver Pines really beautiful forest full of nature and pine trees. I'm aware of the dangers being killed or cursed forever.
Could you maybe discuss the Banshee, Its one of my favourite kind of "Monster" /undead. And if so could it be that they inspired her from old story's about "la llorona"?
Balverine settlements is a good clucking idea. Wild balverines in the wilderness + sentient balvarines hidden among humans or in certain cults would be cool. It would be even better if the player could become a balverine like in skyrim. Or Even little hobbe villiages and factions like the smarter hobbes would live in huts and study magic and use machines and the dumber ones would live in the wilderness and actually attack the smarter ones like bandits. The humans of Albion have evolved so why not the other races? This idea was only slightly explored in the games. Too many of the non-human enemies are just mindless creatures or henchmen. It would be terrifying if some of them were fully self aware. They would be able to trap and ambush the hero in clever ways and it would make for more interesting encounters This idea could also be applied to the undead in some way if someone clever comes up with some good lore for it.
I always found it interesting that the white balverine could initially control himself but gradually lost control over time. Perhaps over the years those who would become balverines found a way to keep more of their humanity if you will but they still seem to be easily triggered when it comes to transforming. Kind of like the one who transformed in Fable 3 after the butler slapped her on the behind
Im glad microsoft stopped fable 4 before it happened. Fable doesnt need to keep going into the future. Fans would like to see some games taking place in the old kingdom or early age of heroes
Do the humans of Albion have any silver coins? The "arbitrary" decision by certain people to not use silver coins for reasons they won't explain might start to get suspicious.
When I mentioned the region being connected to Brightwood, I did intend on showing the tower while writing the video. Completely forget when capturing the footage!
You know what'd be pretty cool? If we had a fable game where the hero is like half balverine half human. You could transform into a balverine during a fight.
I don't think take over but maybe a fable underworld because the silver would make it awkward could be invited for tea and be revealed but definitely a town or city
