Could Clarkson’s Farm share the realities of U.K. Farming in ‘real time’? (Short)

Practical issues aside - not least of all what it would mean for Clarkson and the Diddly Squat Team - I believe that the genuine good that Clarkson's Farm has done for the relationship between the key stakeholders in the UK Food Chain (That's the Farmers and Consumers/Public) could go much further if a way were to be found for the programme to come to air or stream in something much nearer to real time.
In the absence of direct access for us all to every one of our local farms, the understanding that we all need about Food Security and what genuinely good healthy food looks like and where it comes from is playing right into the hands of the vested interests who are insisting that farming is archaic and the future of our (very unhealthy) food supply by necessity will come from factories, insects and test tubes and be full of nasty things like UPFs.
A real-time Clarkson's Farm - based more along the lines of 'Lisa Cam' could be just the thing and the authenticity of film as you go could really be a massively helpful thing for us all.
Either way, thank you Clarkson's Farm for what you have already done.

Do a video blog. Film yourself doing stuff. Be the change that you want to see.

Now that's a fucking great shout mate. I have discovered a passion for farming, but unfortunately am too old to do anything about it

Great project... Would also let the public know about all latest obstacles being put in the way of those who feed us all.

I think it’s to do mainly with production costs and time but I fully with you that if they did a month of filming and then a month of editing and getting out there would be great so it’s only one month behind would be great

I don't think it will happen just because that's the nature of these tv shows. They're all filmed a couple of years in advance, and then there's editing, and the stars have to promote it for a few months to ensure they get as many viewers as possible. Amazon doesn't care about the state of the farming industry. They care about subscriptions.

Always whinging and nothing is ever enough with farmers. They receive government hand outs, avoid inheritance tax and are more often than not handed ready made businesses on a plate. What other industry does this happen - they have privilege at the tax payers expense and because the House of Lords are full of land owners with farms. Most folk needs to study, work and strive. As for Clarkson’s farm part 2 - no account was made for the several hundred thousands that was spent on machinery and barns that are preserved for future years. The programme is hilarious though and well done. They are very important agreed, but many are rich land owners that were handed down from generation to generation…….. Although hard work at times they have so many perks, it’s semi skilled but highly beneficial and wealth generating with land prices increasing well above inflation year on year. They are always looking for something for now’t and every farmer I know has a give me mindset - the giveme boys…..!

They tried, the BBC did "lambing live" we watched a few episodes, as farmers ourselves we were interested in how our industry was portrayed, the idea was to show the public the birth of a lamb, they never actually had one lamb on air, it ended up as a half hour of buildup with no pay off. There are plenty of social media accounts who do a great job promoting agriculture.

A lovely idea, but the mass appeal of Clarkson's show has a lot to do with the production quality that takes time to achieve, their ability to use "movie magic" at times in skipping and speeding up some things and there is a phenomenon related to "binge watching" that makes episodic series statistically less popular if the audience has to wait for the next episode, an unfortunate result of today's instant and constant gratification culture. An accompanying RU-vid channel posting daily updates either as "shorts" or 3-10 minute videos would be the solution, but the effort and expense to hire a team to do this is unlikely worth the payoff financially for the show's creators.
