Could it be the best washing machine ever made? Whichwasher2007 thinks so! Bosch WFP3300 

I have it's predecessor a WFS 4030, 1400 rpm model, which I bought new in 1993 for £650, expensive in it's day but I was determined to buy a high end machine so I saved up and stretched my budget. The only repair has been to replace the carbon motor brushes since when the motor has become slightly noisier on the high speed spin but, it still works perfectly and it looks great. Only the small diameter door size, compared to a modern machine, gives its age away. In particular its out of balance detection is extremely good, exceptional for its day. So, hang on to that WFP3300 it's a beaut!!

What a beautiful old machine! I love the wash selecting dials. With some cleanup, sanding and painting rust wise and hopefully everything working this thing could be a piece of art.

it was a very top model while it has also hot fill ...it was as reliable as a miele i remember i would like to buy it but it never came in the greek market and i bought wfk 2431 instead

Lovely machine there! Definitely worth fixing since these are rare. Most of the dirt would clean off with some elbow grease, door seal can be easily changed. Not sure about the board, maybe let it dry and try again, if not take a closer look.

I think you must pull the board out, you have to take off the heatsink and see if there is any component that looks burnt, if you can't see anything suspect, use a multimeter to check all the power components. Save this masterpiece of machine. Sorry if my english is bad, but I don't speak english.

Seems like a great machine, sure worth saving! For me it looked like the smoke came from the big grey resistor, it could be that it has absorbed moisture that dries off when heated. But I can't diagnose this from my sofa, lol. Could also be a capacitor thats gone dead over years of no use and decided to smoke a little. The numbers on the sticker on the side: 0.95: 0.95kWh 1600 spin 5.0: 5kg load 49: 49l water usage Usually measured at the 60° cottons cycle, or (if it has it) on an 60° eco cycle. To say it's the best machine every? I'd say a Miele Novotronic W985/W986 is better, as they are designed for 20.000h of use. But this could be the best BSH machine every made! At least the best one with electronic user interface.

Not sure, but it could be a blown capacitor or a resistor, i would personaly remove the heetsink just to be sure (your choice)
