Could Shootout Events become the New Normal? 

I love the idea, but in my eyes the point of a test weekend before a big race is to figure stuff out with less pressure and more importantly for me, lower cost. It can already be expensive enough to do one full national series, but to make even just half of the test weekends shootout events would make it so much more expensive.
