Could Steven Universe Defeat The Calamity Trio? 

I’d like to point out that Steven was training with his powers from around 13-16 years old. He had about three years of training, while for the calamity trio, Sasha and Marcy only had their power for about a few minutes, while Anne only had her powers for a few months. I bet they could have been a lot stronger had they have more time.

I feel like Mark could turn this into a whole series. It is true that there are very few cartoon powerscalers on RU-vid. Please let the next fight be with the Powerpuff Girls.

Stevens pink barriers are almost indestructible but his heal makes him almost immortal since he can just spam his healing abilities

I have been greatly considering this match up since Amphibia's end. Mainly Steven vs Anne. I look at both their powers and really when you look close they almost seem matched. Steven can basically heal himself, create barriers of various sizes and shapes, fly/float, shapeshift, can scream so loudly it crumbles buildings (maybe more), create sentient plants and move so fast that time moves at a crawl. Steven is almost basically a god with these powers. Anne meanwhile doesn't show much of what she is capable of, but considering her powers are literally a fraction of a god's power I can imagine she can do as much, if not more than Steven. That said, the powers Anne has shown is super strength, durability, speed, flight, energy manipulation, psychokinesis, can possibly cut things with her mind and possibly a healing factor. Anne took hits that would normally splatter a person or put them on the mend for a long time, but she either shrugged it off or was better by next episode. Her arm was broken by the toads in Toad Tax and by next episode she was fine. Both are excellent combatants. Steven uses his shield and knows how to box. Anne is a master swordswoman and also knows MuayTai. It's actually a fun idea to see them fight because it's sword vs shield and both of them can enter close quarter combat when those fail. Ultimately, with what we know, yeah I think Steven would win this fight. He just has more advantages and Anne has limitations to her powers. Even without those limitations, I still think she wouldn't win. Full on control of her powers though? Again, her powers are basically god powers, so who knows how much more powerful she can truly be. I'm probably just going over everything VGMarkis says, plus or minus a few details, but this is a matchup that I've been thinking about for some time. It's just such a cool idea and fun to theorize.

i feel like if they met, a fight probably wouldn't start. also we need to consider that stevens abilities rely on how hes feeling. he only got to his pink steven form because he was hiding his emotions and working with jasper. i feel like anne would probably have +20 charisma due to being the heart gem, so she could get steven out of his anger and take him out. also rubydomino can just revive anne whenever they want because they are literally god

Dang Steven is a durability beast, bur I definitely think Anne's Full Power Blast is at minimum Small Planet level, because of the speed at which it destroyed the Moon. Powerscaling is weird. (Note: totally not salty that Anne lost)

You forgot Steven's mind control powers. He could potentially just take over their minds and make them kill each other

With all seriousness I think you're right on the money with this. Future Steven could go toe-to-toe with End of the series Calamity Trio. Tho if they actually faught I have a feeling that Steven's talk-no-jutsu would work extremely well on them. Sasha would probably have to take up the 3-stone mantle if Steven tried to talk it out.

I think Steven wins by a large margin Even tho the trio has massive power behind them Steven's durability would easily let him outlast Marcy and Sasha. And at that point, with a weakened Anne, he'd easily solo her too. She'd get tired eventually and Steven is basically untouchable thanks to his 3 layers of protection he has (Shield, Bubble, geometrical shields)

Steven has been with his experience of powers for practically the entire Anne Boonchuy series and only half a season and it wasn't even a good experience. Technically Steven Universe surpasses The Calamity Trio in everything.

i feel like if Anne could withstand the power of all three stones, she could eventually master it and become more powerful than just shooting a blast and then dying, and then she could beat corrupted steven.

You make great points However, Marcy is super intelligent, and Sasha has a flipping military background and is able to hold her own against a lot, and she’s super strong in general. Sasha was able to pull and hold Barrel’s hammer, hold her own against Anne in combat(although they were pretty close all the time), and defeat two herons with her bare fists and cheerleading

Steven's shield alone is planetary level defense. He can definitely outbox them unless anne's final calamity attack can somehow bust through his impenetrable defense and shatter his gem. The Calamity trio lacks defense so they'd have to avoid stevens attacks which I doubt any of them can do for very long. Steven solos! high diff

I’ve also been thinking about versus match ups lately and have been holding a cartoon character tournament with my community polls to see who can beat who, it’s not perfect, for example Finn from Adventure Time was somehow able to beat Steven which I have a hard time believing but it’s definitely an interesting thought experiment.

by the by, don't forget repairing completely nerve-dead flesh and muscle under steven's healing factor. he *did* repair greg's arm.

All three of the Calamity Trio fought a moon-sized mechanical entity and came close to destroying it. Death Battle has calculated Steven's mother Rose blocked an attack capable of destroying a star, and he gets his powers and weapons from her gemstone genetics. Steven's got this.

More steven feats: Remember when the yellow diamond spaceship in season one literally exploded with jasper still in it (she was still able to get up and fuse with lapis and only had scratches). Even before that, she got thrown into the ship's core by Garnet. And thats just SEASON ONE jasper. We all know how much she trains and how much stronger she got from that time to SUF. lapis also lifted the entire earth's ocean into the air and was still able to fight all the crystal gems at once. The cluster was said to be able to destroy the earth and keep destroying more planets as it goes 🥶 Steven was still able to easily overpower all of them

Steven is essentially a flying tanks with a long run time vs three glass canons with a time limit, all comes down to can the girls get their shots in before Steven starts to outlast them.

Steven technically has used his healing spit in a fight, in the fight with Spinel during 'Change' he kisses his hand which heals his (presumably) broken nose

if they do go through his defences they could just aim for steven's gem and shatter it since marcy could be knowledgeable enough to know mid fight or they know about it previously.

Considering Anne's powers are limited and Steven's isn't I doubt he'd lose

steven may not have the trio's offensive power but im sure as hell he wins in endurance and durability. No matter how powerful they are, if he can outlast their forms, their synergy will be gone and they're good as dead.

I feel like the better question is how fast would Steven, the Gems, Greg, Connie, and Beach City befriend the Calamity Trio and the Owl House cast. Cause I see a few instances where the crossover would make tons of new besties.

If something. Steven was using basically only 2-3 powers during his kid years, his REAL training began with Jasper during teenage years, and it still was taking like few days and he was playing hella defense, only at one moment he went into offense and it killed her.

honestly, I think the big big deciding thing, because tbh I think all 3 of the calamity trio would definitely beat Steven by just pure offensive power, but the thing we gotta worry about is Stevens empathy power, Stevens defence would make him last long enough to definitely understand anne who is easily the main threat more, and anne and the calamity trio aren't bad people, aka the people who are most vulnerable to his pink diamond empathy powers, and it's not like blue or pink who can only effect gems either, so I definitely think that's the part that would decide it

I personally think it would come down to speed. Steven pretty much beats the trio in any other category except for Iq and Speed (agility, etc.) including all forms. Even if Steven could perceive the speed of light itself. Remember what Anne did to Andrias? Andrias could react to lasers, and she still managed to move so fast he couldn’t see her. This speed Is around Ftl+-MFTL. So I feel it would be more than enough to blitz, before he could put barriers up or get into one of his more, sturdy forms.

Stevens best feat in the non monster state is killing jasper, who at best is a warrior able to fight up to scale of garnet (Garnet herself only having really building level feats, though SU was never a fighting show so this is debatable.) Anne is EASILY city level in her basic calamity state, and goes far beyond that in her super duper whatever armor state. Able to casually 1 shot multiple sky scraper tall robots. And hold back the moon [The moon not only being pushed by the core it's self, but also being effected by the planet's gravity with how close it was. And there are multiple scenes of the trio "Starting to push it back" only to falter when the core puts more force into it.] Anne alone makes Steven her bitch in every form he uses, outside of the monster form which is planetary due to statements about the cluster, but even then Anne could easily outspeed the monster and in her white form simply 1 shot it. Annes time limit also is far greater than around 5 minutes seeing as how her right with andrias took long enough for multiple plans to be made and executed with the forces down in the city. Power scaling of Steven Strength: in the steven universe movie, he was able to life the injector after his powers where weakened Speed: A speeding roller coaster can go up to 128 MPH and steven(in his pink form) was able to make it go slow motion, in order to move that fast, you must be going at around light speed and no kidding is around 299,792,458 m/s, I don't think he was going that fast but still Durability: he smacked his head on something going light speed and came to a instant stop skills: bubble, shield, flight, instant regeneration, healing, super speed, super strength, fusion. IQ: not dumb but not the smartest

here's an idea, instead of Steven fighting the calamity trio, what about K.O in his various forms, specifically perfect K.O because he is the strongest out of all of his forms just a suggestion because although my bets are on the calamity trio, we could see perfect K.O winning if he has more mastery over his form.

Marcy’s nat 20 explosion looks around the same size as the moon. Steven’s around country level in strength and the core moon is around the size of the largest continent asia. And this was Marcy first transformed while not even using her full power since this was her first time. Anne has used her calamity form a lot more so clearly can do a larger explosion than Marcy’s.

The thing is, Stevens powers are perfectly suited to outlasting opponents. Many enemies wouldn't be vulnerable to this strategy, like mech Andrius, but Anne definitely is. Even if her form doesn't have a time limit, she can be exhausted more directly, and she has to essentially one shot Steven. That's... Not gonna be easy. And a lot of people are actually skipping out on a pretty useful ability- bubbling other things. While Anne doesn't have a form to be bubbled permanently, just throwing one over her again, and again, and again, and again, with the force of her own attacks contained by the bubble to rebound on her? Devastating strategy.

Yeah Steven has had years of training with his powers in different ways, but if the calamity trio had that time, they would sweep the floor. Stevens shield was able to stop the combined blast of all the other diamonds, but those are just 3 powerful diamonds, where as the calamity gem things have the combined power to literally open up gateways to different worlds, and the calamity gems have a literal god that watches over them, Steven has crazy high endurance, but given some training, the calamity trio would sweep Steven extremely fast

Id like to add a last resort option: Steven was cornered, weakened, unable to fight, the calamity trio, taking the win ... Or did they? BEHOLD, steven PURPOSELY rips his own gem out to summon pink steven unleashed!

To be honest steven would win. If he so needed to he could just wait out the entire trio. We have seen the immense defense the barriers have and don't forget. He can stick them to increase their defense output MASSIVELY as shown with Jasper's fight. He shot 1 and she nudged it out the way. He summoned three and stscked them and launched them and Jasper was thrown all the way into multiple trees and through a rock. Plus we don't know the limit for his stacking barriers. He could do maybe 5 or even 10 barriers at a time. Seriously steven has a lot of a stronger defense. Steven cam turn these into offense too. As shown in future. Steven can alter the sizes of barriers while in use and he could set up a barrier field around the girls and crush them. Even the youtiber didn't mention this but Steven also slows down time when angered enough. Also steven could lure the girls into roses room where he would have complete control over the space and he could make traps, visions and other obstructions to scare them or outwait them.

We also gotta talk abt the fact that Steven is lowkey underrated in the power and speed(mainly speed) department. "He's planetary, he isnt underrated" True, but we can get só much higher. We do know that at his peak he can scale to the Diamonds singularly, each Diamond should have at least given 1/3rd of the power needed to iluminate the sky from one galaxy to another. No i am not saying galaxy level Steven, ofc not, they only iluminated the sky, but the energy needed to that is stil in the solar system to multi solar system. Now in the speed department, i feel its pretty dumb that we consider the gems only in the light área of speed. Considering the fact that one of the earlier version of lápis could travel to another galaxy in around 14 days(which is around 138 times ftl). And in one of her weakened form, jasper grabs her mid flight. And then chadven chadiverse later on folded and lowkey blitzed when she was stronger.
