I'd purchase a surface go 4 arm in a heartbeat. I'd exchange performance (surface go have never been about power anyways) for battery life for sure. Battery life is the main thing holding my go 2 back to be my perfect "work on the go" companion
Intel i3 with Xe, Slimmer bezel’s, Thunderbolt 4 and a removable SSD would be on my wish list. They should also bundle the keyboard and pen with the device.
I hope so. I remember watching Sean Ong's review of the Surface 2 running RT about 8-9 years ago and thinking I want one of those. Unfortunately Microsoft killed it before I got the chance to get one.
I want a Surface Go version similar to the ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid. This way, the touchscreen of the device will be utilized more and become more useful. If adding calling capability with a SIM card, it would surpass the Surface Duo!
The volume is low for this episode. Had to turn my speakers all the way to 100% just to hear something. (Other videos on RU-vid are quite loud so not my desktop)

It never will be and you should accept that. The magic behind M-chips and Apple products in general is the seamless interplay between hardware and software that is all produced by one company - Apple. Microsoft can never have this, because of many reasons/excuses.
@@utbplay I mean Microsoft *could* if they wanted, but that would be burning Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm. Anyways it only takes Qualcomm making a banger chip to compete with Apple. By the time that happens Windows on ARM will be in a really great place, which it kind of already is.
Pls Microsoft I'm begging let the surface go 4 have less line jitter or like completely remove the jitter like surface Pro 8 and 9 like it would be such a really good affordable tool for artist and graphic designers too like cmon Microsoft!
A Go that uses an ARM chip to only give us better battery + compatibility issues, and worst performance would be infuriating. The Surface Go 4 would get the best of both worlds if it used a 2 P-core + 8 E-core configuration would be the best direction. ARM's sexiness thanks to Apple is blinding people. I would like an iPad mini competitor, especially now that Windows Subsystem for Android is a thing, and more web apps are going PWA. I still would prefer an Intel P-core/E-core setup, especially if Intel does become the performance per watt leader as it expects with the 2024 Lunar Lake chips.
I mean my sister has a Pro X, she has Windows 11 on it, been working like a charm, Windows 11 on ARM has that 64 bit emulation that Windows 10 was lacking, so she is extremely happy with it There's no reason an ARM processor has to give worse performance
@@Icybubba answered your own question, the key word is emulation, it isn't the real thing, you waste cpu power emulating an entirely different architecture to run programs not natively compatible on that arm cpu, not really hard to understand, the go4 would hardly sell.
Well, it'll only be worth it if you can run standard windows apps still, otherwise it's worthless, if you can and it uses x86 hardware emulation, it'll still be worthless as it limits performance, people want to run real windows, not s.
That's what we're waiting. Would be amazing, but Qualcoom needs a fastar SoC or at least much cheaper. For now Apple Silicon is a smarter idea. I have Surface Go 2 with Pentium G and it's works really well, but the battery life is ridiculous. If it was a ARM SoC, it could be faster and have much better efficiency. We don't need X86/64 full compatibilty anymore, almost no one needs it.
great i was hoping for a good surface go 4....now the arm processor news just killed my hype,surface go on better CPU with keyboard/pen costs 700 eur....is not affordable and at least i want some processor power....microsoft got a real cute form factor but they re so stupid about specs and price.....ARM processor....cmon use old gen of AMD 5%%%U processor they ll be cheap and not power hungry.
