Apple has 8% global laptop market share for a reason: -Apple's laptops have 20th century hardware (no touch screen, pen support, OLED screens, instant on, 2-in-1 designs, 180 degree screens, etc.) -Apple has a history of class actions lawsuits: cracked screen, green screen, connectivity issues, thermal throttling, keyboard issues -Apple laptops can't game...End of Story
I wish we could have gotten this camera tech development on the android side. Breaking up Nokia was one of the saddest outcomes of Microsoft acquiring them
Definitely a life saver, and some of the keys in my keyboard are not working and some are inserting double characters, could you please tell me why or if you have any fix for that please do share it with me. Thanks in advance.
WP 8 (and 8.1) was the best. WP 10 ruined the entire experience. WP 10 fundamentally changed how we interacted with WP 8 and in my opinion, it was unnecessary. Microsoft didn’t make any viable efforts to promote their OS and then tried to make WP similar to iOS and Android through WP10. Sad.
If Microsoft is competent after 2006. Surface RT and Windows RT wouldn't have failed Don't need to be a genius to understand that when they killed off Windows Live Messenger in favor of Skype which has less features then Skype and the People App (that nobody uses) also died somehow
Does the bottom usb-c port support video signal to hookup an additional monitor? Samsung says it does but I can’t get it to work outside of charging and data transfer.
My SP 4 had a battery life of 1.5-4 hours for *my* use, which was ridiculous [e.g., MATLAB, Word, LaTeX based tools]. Apart from that, it is one of my all time favorites. Regarding design, etc of SP12: * Will the pen location in the Flex keyboard rest against the screen, and over time leave marks in the screen? * Very disappointing that they don't supply 2TB SSDs (nice with good wifi & 5G, but with my use in cafes, etc in Europe, I get from 60 kbs-3 Mbs wifi, and when tethering to my 5G phone where, I pay for 1Gbs, but get from zero to 10 Mbs abroad depending on the area + how far into a cafe I sit). I want to keep all files I use on my SSD. * I would have liked up to 64 GB RAM. I don't game, and I don't use Office tools much. So I'd depend on emulsion, I think. So I'm curious about... * Irfanview * Inkscape * Libre Office * LaTeX related tools such as MikTeX/TeXLive and, e.g., LyX * Zotero * Mathoriented pogramming languages such as MATLAB, Python (with NumPy), Julia, etc Anyways, I don't expect you to test all these programs. But emulsion is a important
Come on, guys. The Surface Pro 11 isn't great. I just want to see a fanless, thinner, lighter Surface Pro or any Windows tablet with an even bezel screen and a fingerprint sensor. Imagine an M4 iPad Pro with Linux 😊. That would be the perfect tablet.
That screen recording is a great way to burn up the included SSD drive. Just look up TBWs here on RU-vid if in doubt. Additionally there's been security articles on Recall. If a remote hacker gets in they know everything you done that includes passwords, banking, and so on. Turn this crap OFF.
@@joshuahernandez-th6ov Recall can be disabled, issue solved. Used Linux and Unix prior - lacks in native application selection. Windows has far more variety.
Thanks for the discussion guys. I picked up the Surface Pro 11 on launch day. Have been impressed. Native app performance has been great. Battery life is way better than any other Intel or AMD-based laptop I've owned. Love the OLED display, love the speakers as well. Just waiting for my Flex keyboard to get here. Thanks again guys!
It's funny how you people think Microsoft is EVIL for this recall stuff not knowing that literally every major AND minor organization ha its software littered with spyware that does the same things as recall. The only difference is Microsoft came up and gave the user access to viewing all of that spying and other organizations left that exclusive to them to view on their own specialized internal dashboards. Corporates are NOT your friends.
I remember wanting this phone so bad then I got it and I loved it still but mostly for the form factor, it was the slowest most buggy phone ever, it was almost unusable, it was more of a party trick than a phone
Remember, this isn't the fault of the programmers. This the fault of a CEO or Manager higher up. So if someone has to get fired over this, let it be said CEO or Manager! And not the workers under them.
