Also; no mention by western media WHY there are divided political factions. No mention from German news concerning NATO bombing Libya back to the stone age. We get floods sometimes in the rainy season but they are so small and only affect certain neighbourhood and areas. This was worse than anything we've ever experienced

As explained in the video 2 dams colapsed. This is an infrastructure and institutions issue not a flood issue per say. Also, there was a river in what is today lybia, it wasn't as dry as is now. With the right investment these floods would be an advantage and not the tragedy seen.

There was a very lage earthquake in Morocco with tremors felt in Portugal, Algeria, and Lybia. That was likely a contributing factor.

Large storms in that part of the world have been noted back into antiquity. You see It is a maritime > climate

Dams store the rain water, obstructing the natural river flow. If a poorly maintained dam, holding, say, a week's worth of water, collapses, a week's worth of rainfall floods out in a matter of minutes/hours, in addition to water from increased river flow.

Its a huge Wadi System. Imagine all the Rain collected in the many Wadi Arms and then forcefully flowing into one Arm. Imagine the Tsunami Like Wave. And this Region usually never gets this amount of Rainfall so this is just a very rare Disaster. And the City was hit by this Flood wave already stribg trough the Wadi's plus the Dams breaking. Imagine the brutal Force of this Wave! It created a litteral Valley trough the City Centre and washed away everything on the Wadi Riverbench.

Cause of dam failure was the Moroccan earthquake.
