Out of all the firearms I have owned and then sold, the Glock 26 is my biggest regret selling. I'm going to buy another one and make sure I never sell it.
The g26 is certainly the most versatile pistol out there. It could be a deep conceal gun and double as a duty gun, especially with the x grip. 10 rds or 33 plus. I ended up getting a g48 because I'm skinny but you can't go wrong with a g26.
G26 is by far the most versatile gun on the market. How many guns can go from a 10 round mag to a 33 round mag. And be just as accurate as its big Brother G19 and G17 I have carried mine for 15 years
Hey buddy like your channel. Thank you for all the info. I got one question where do you send your slides to get cut ? Just got a 27 I want to get slide cut not sure where to send it. I appreciate your time.
Can’t speak to the recoil control. I have large hands so I like the Gen 5’s for the back straps with the beaver tail. I personally prefer no finger grooves.
Same...first glock was a G17 long slide...then a G27 and G22 as a pair...great pistols but now that I carry a 43X I'm thinking of just going 9mm on everything and selling the .40s...not seeing the big benefit of them now. Unlike in the late 90s when I got them and 40 was the rage.
i’ve been carrying the 26 for years and a few weeks ago got a wild hair to replace it and bought a sig p365x-macro. great handgun and it shoots great and carries well, BUT it is within millimeters of the same size as a glock 19, just thinner. so i’m back to old reliable mod 26 for edc all day long. it’s just hard to beat for lots of people.
How it shoots is what really keeps me interested in my G26. Really does shoot more like a full-size pistol when compared to the slim micro compacts. Actually makes shooting with a small pistol enjoyable. Only other slim pistol I’m interested in is the Hellcat Pro.
Well said. I fell for the micro 9 hype. Tried several different and got rid of them and went back to my 26. If I could only have 1 pistol. It would be my 26.
I already saw a video on the 26 MOS. I have one 26 G4 and one 26 G5, which is my favorite. It concealed much better than the 43X. May be because I'm 5'4". Anyway, the 26 is my everyday carry. Weight, not a big deal. Love it.
I’m 5’3 with a G48 and it’s a monster to conceal lol. I love it but the reason I needed it for makes it obsolete. I have a regular 43 and I don’t like the 6rd capacity, I think this is my next purchase for sure, I’m happy to hear you like yours.
And I'll say it again, just bought my 26 because of your vids!! Would love to see a conceal carry setup for your 26. Going from a 43x I do find the width a bit harder to conceal. Still trying to find the best setup for it with my body.
I run my G26.4 with a Brownells rmr slide , a G19.5 barrel and a Holosun 407c on top. 2000 rounds no problems ever. Its my range toy/slash work room pistol. The Brownells slide still looks brand new. The finish is super tough.
Great CCW gun. I prefer it over the G43x due to my hand size but the G19 is the sweet spot for me as far as being concealable and shootable. Still might pick up a G26 at some point just for giggles, though.
You should try the Shadow systems cr920 it is better imo. its just a slimmer version of a g26. Comes already with good sights, optics cutout, better grip, better stock trigger, stupid easy to conceal, also 13+1, also not as snappy as other sub compacts.
I sold my gen4 a while ago. & just seen a police trade in gen5 on the super low. Shop around you will get a great price. It’s my EDC in little Tijuana aka Las Vegas. Tango down extended slide release & backplate. Trijicon yellow HD XR’s with a TRL6. My carry ammo is underwood ultimate defender 90grain. Take care!
I've shot the Glock 26 (my brother's) with 10 rounds and I was accurate with 2 inch groupings and 2 in the bullseye (for the first time, which was the last time until I try again) but it was pretty jumpy with the muzzle rise. I was not uncomfortable but I wonder if I would be if I shot 50 rounds from it in a row. If I am still comfortable with it after 50 and more rounds of shooting it in a row, I'd probably have that instead too. For sure though I will not get a sub-compact that is larger than a 9mm. I think a G26 will be a good ankle gun but I have to see for myself first though.
I have been running the Cyelee cat, micro dots on my pistols, lately, and I am blown away by the quality and performance for the price. I don’t know what took me so long, but I would much rather buy one of these for like 130 bucks and buy some thing else for four or 500 bucks. The fall off in Quality and Performance is literally nothing. It’s the best bang for the buck. Dot on the market right now as far as I’m concerned. I’m really enjoying the green. Dot on my Glock 43 right now. Just incredible.
i run a glock 26 as a edc or a glock 43x when i wear more fitted clothing. Thanks for sharing your opinions and experience with the G26. I hope to see more G26 content from your channel
My Glock 27 Gen 5 had one hang up yesterday on Winchester White box. I don't know why? but it ran the rest perfectly. I never have that issue with the same ammo coming out of my XD40. subcompact.. And as far as reliability, I watch a lot of police body cam videos. and when they're in a shootout, they have a lot of malfunctions with the Glock even as far as the magazine fallen free, fully loaded. Now I know a lot has to do with stress. but I do see them, tapping and racking the slide a lot with the Glock a lot During the shootout.
I think you’re speaking from your own shooting experience with your 26 is this a gen3? I love my 26 g4 and shoot ít better than my 43. Love this review makes me love my 26 more😂
I'm a Taurus guy mainly. I own a couple of Caniks as well, but I could honestly say I'd own this. I'm not a big Glock fan because people like to act like it's the be all end all when it comes to guns. I disagree, but I always said I'd buy one if I could find the one that just speaks to me and this one does that. I'd definitely carry this as a secondary for my Gx4. Which has about the same dimensions and holds 13 +1.
My 2 favorites are my Glock 26 gen 3 which is my carry, and my Springfield XD-40 Service 4 inch, which is my nightstand/home defense gun. These are 2 well made accurate guns, that have stood the test of time. I bought both of them over 20 years ago, and it is remarkable how they have stood up. Just 2 magnificent pistols. To me it seems some of these newer plastic strikers are cheaply made, and not as solid.
@@Fractal_blip You have never heard a Glock, Canik, Shield, Walther PDP, or any of the plastic guns referred as a polymer striker. It is a category of pistols.
Lol. You crack me up with your critiques of your critiques. As long as you don't take them personally, because no matter what you say....even if you somehow crafted the perfect video with the best recommendation ever made with a completely sound argument, someone would get upset that you didn't polish your ring enough. By the way, I appreciate this, I keep wanting to invest in a glock but...I just don't know a lot about glocks from personal use....so....this is awesome, thanks. Ohhh....I wish you were my neighbor....I'd be hassling you on an hourly basis to trade with me
My 26 shoots as good as my 19 and 17. Not only does the 26 handle 15,17 and the 33 rd magazines but with a $14 sleeve on a 19 mag you have a full size grip.
I have the 365xl with a Wilson combat grip and considering trading it in for the 26. Have you compared them yet? Wasn’t sure if it was gonna be a bad move.
Its a great choice but it isnt the best for everyone. I carry 19 or walther pdp compact most of the time and a 26 once in awhile. Not everyone is focused onnmodifying firearms out side if picking what dot to choose i leave em stock and run em i spend the money on ammo and training. I do wish glock would release the 26.5 with a optic cut. to have pinky pressure. In presentations particularly with a red dot that would be helpful
A Gen 3 Glock 26 was my 1st pistol purchase. I’ve gotten so many other pistols since then. And not just Glocks but F&N, H&K, Sig, Shadow Systems, & other brands. But that Gen 3 26 holds a special spot in my heart. Was really tempted to get the gen 5 but saw that it wasn’t mos, I held off. Whenever Glock releases the MOS 26 I’ll definitely get one. That way I can retire my Gen 3 & just keep her in my safe.
My Glock 44 22 LR fits a Glock 19 holster. My Glock 44 22 LR hasn't had a problem of firing, it's really reliable. Down side, no room for a red dot but a light can be added.
I am heavily debating whether I want to just buy a Glock 26 or if I should get a 19 to cut down to a 26L. I have never had a Glock before, but I almost always prefer small frame guns, but I also want to have a rail for my one and only Glock. A 26L MOS would be super versatile and could even go into Glock chasis. I'm just a little worried about fucking the gun up. Alternatively, I could just get a 27 or 33 with conversion barrels or cut down their mid size equivalents. . .
I would say my shield plus optics ready is the best lol but honestly you got me wanting to get a 26. I have a 43x but I feel I might need a 26 next summer for my edc. Price is a bit steep but I think ill start saving now so by next summer ill have it.
I have a G26, G27 and 43X MOS...save your money and stick with the 43X...it does EVERYTHING the fat baby glocks do but as a better EDC and more comfortable carry. The only benefit is the factory double-stack mags and interchangability wtih the larger capacity...but then just buy a G19 or G17. 43X is such a great carry.
A G26 carries perfectly in boots too. Maybe some kind soul can point me to blacked out, regular height and serrated sights? I do not need the suppressor height sights with Holosun SCS MOS.
I prefer the cz p10s 12 rds about same size. The taurus g3c toro is a great carry gun takes the g3 mags .so many sc size pistols I think are better than the 26 .
I love the G26 as well….. Lots of shield plus lovers and a few Glock haters…. Each his own I guess? I have both and love both….. No one firearm is for everybody…. The G26 fits the bill because it just works….. If I had to give it up it would be one of the last to go….. Versatile double stack capacity while it’s concealable and fits most hands….. **Is the Mos going to come out with a light rail? That one area that could use some improvement. Another great video 👍
Yea I think the 26 will be way more popular if it came with and optic cut . I carry the sig p365 with the Wilson combat xl grip just because is a little more comfortable for me but on the range non of this macro for me shoot better that the 26 and I have many i think 🤔 f they do some little upgrades to it it can become the king I have the gen 4 by the way I don’t have a gen 5 or 3 but im planing on getting a Gen 5 or wait for the next generation maybe
If anyone is comfortable with the recoil of the G26 even after 100 rounds in a row then yes this would be the best 9mm. For me so far, it's the Glock 19. I want to try the Glock 23 (or Glock 22) to see if I can handle its 40 caliber. If I can handle any of the 40 caliber Glocks with enough comfort and ease, that will be my ultimate do it all gun (though the G22 would be more for open carry) since it can shoot 9mm, 40 caliber, and .357 SIG. Also the ballistics of a 4 inch barrel and longer seem much more trustworthy if it's the only gun I'll ever have (which I hope I'm able to have more than one firearm and that no law/rule will limit our ownership of firearms to just one).
@spnfirearms I've watched em! I just got some stipple tape, an Olight Baldr Mini and a red dot, waiting on the 13 round mags, it's build I think you'd be proud of! Lol
