That show could never have survived without Stana; and if Fillion thought that it could, he was delusional!!!!!

Stana Katic was as important as Nathan Fillion. The 2 of them made the show.

I LOVED Castle and IMO, she made the show even if they both were fantastic actors. Shame on him if he couldnt get past the fact that Beckett really was the story.

I didnt realise it was an abrupt end 🤔 i did notice their romance was going a bit woky in the last seasons but that last season seemed like a solid end 🧐 meh it was good while it was but im glad it ended well. Cause there were moments they almost killed her so im glad it ended with them being happily married

Losing Beckett destroyed the show

Left out a few key details....she and Nathan became a real life couple early in Castle. So the chemistry was on and off screen. And there are a few interviews where they are not hiding it. Clearly somewhere along the line it didn't work out. And by the latter seasons they were not being written in the same scenes for 99% of the show. Given they were the married, romantic leads, it was just awkward. And I was glad they cancelled the show vs trying to make it work without her. I was always a huge Nathan Fillion fan since his OLTL days, but he seemed like a bully at the end, and acted like just because the show was called "Castle" HE was the only star. Lost a lot of respect. That said, like everyone, I have no clue if anyone was at fault in the relationship, and at least no one has trashed the other publicly.

Maybe they dated and then broke up. That's why they weren't on good terms afterwards

The show ended 7 years ago and the whole politics about Stana Katic is still being talked about.

Sadly as soon as the creator left, the show had patches of not to good storylines some great episodes but stana and nathan werent the same after season 4 its a shame they fell out hopefully they have made up they had a chemistry thats very difficult to achieve id like to see them work together again, who knows

So glad they didn't pull a BBC Robin Hood series three fiasco! Those fans of Robin Hood BBC know what I mean.

stana less space in S8 ruined the whole show and exit of stana is finally end of castle. producer thought that the show is running because of nathan but they don't know that show is running because of beckett and castle lovestory. end of beckett's character means end of castle.

Went thru a breakup with my partner then caring for my elderly mum i was so depressed, then i started watching castle that changed my life a lot fell in love again but sadly stana wont phone me❤

Reports at the time were that Fillion was getting too full of himself, and was acting out with multiple cast members. Stand just took the biggest hit, because she was his on screen opposite. Eventually she reported having emotional distress after the last couple seasons. We will never fully know.

Stana got married in 2015 so maybe that had something to do with the conflict!

This is one of my favorite shows.

The only time I really watched this show was when I was sick one time and the remote was far away from me and I was to lazy to get up to get it so I just watched the whole 1rst season

Anything dumb like this is usually money related. Maybe they were trying to figure out how to produce the show cheaper and figured cutting one of the leads would save a boatload of cash. Need to figure out the ratings during that time and if Castle was on the bubble before Stana was let go.
