We are family of three and we paying 18k rent for gated subdivision plus utilities here in Mactan cebu. I’m shocked how much more expensive rents are in Duma. Our houses has white marble floors, counter tops throughout but no swimming pool and out back yard including front yard 3 times bigger then your outside rear deck. Your place is perfect for you guys but won’t be for me for two reasons…. Double monthly price and being little far from the city. It’s my personal opinion only.

The pool is one thing we must have and does add value to our rental price. Thanks for your comment.. John

John, the first year on the 13a gets you the probationary resident acr i card. You are not allowed during that year to be apart from your wife at any time. When you apply for the permanent resident visa one year later, you will need to submit as a part of that package an affidavit that you were with her in the country, ie the Philippines, the whole time. If you lesve for the states on the probationary, then the next application you will have to start all over again. That"s the law. I've been through it recently but stayed with wife in country my probationary year, of course. I now have the permanent resident acr i card. Just thought you might like to know this.
@TurquoiseSunsets

John, you will need an ECC and a Reentry Permit. But there's no paperwork involved. As you begin in the line to have your passport checked, there is a immigration Boothe in the same line where you submit your permanent resident card and passport. There you pay 2880 pesos and the receipt they give serves as both the ECC-b and the reentry permit. Hold on to that, you need to show it again when you come back into the Philippines.

Hello John & Mareis! Watching from San Diego, CA. Looking forward to visiting the country…finally. I never thought I’d be coming back (be it visiting or settling down) but just waiting for my passport so I can then set my flight ✈️ and come for a few weeks. I alluded to “coming back” as I actually was born there but left with my entire immediate family when I was a few years old well before the Beatles made its first appearance in the U.S. 🤗But after watching you and other Vloggers the last few years got my interest on fire to finally come. Perhaps when I do come I’ll visit you and other favorite Vloggers (a few in your region) perhaps September. Anyway, thanks for sharing your monthly expense. I know you mentioned being self-insured, but did I miss your food budget…it being a primary expense after rent? Stay safe and healthy✌️🙏

Nice looking apartments. I really like the large balcony. I am surprised by the cost per meter for that lot!! That is really high being that it is just in a subdivision. I guess that is why it has been on the market for so long.
@TurquoiseSunsets
@TurquoiseSunsets 14 дней назад
The lot next door for sale is not in a subdivision but rather a city lot. We agree, the price is too high which is why it hasn't sold in years.. We're seeing a lot of greed!

@@TurquoiseSunsets Thanks for the clarification. I guess someone is hoping with influx of foreigners that someone will think it is a good price and pay 3000 per meter😉. I have been looking for houses in marketplace for sometime and I see a lot of greed there as well. There are no comparisions so people must think, hmm I think this house and lot is worth X price.
