That solo is fucking geat! Whole scene with him in the dressing room, feet up, shades on, cigarette in his mouth, just killing it, I absolutely love it!!!
Fun fact: This video is the "clean" version. They also did an extremely dirty version with naked girls etc., simply because they knew MTV wouldn't show it on TV, so they had this version ready to present as the lesser of 2 evils to get it on TV.
I used to buy their video collection sets all the time. They had quite a few dirty versions of songs and videos. It appeared they knew a lot of strippers and porn stars.
I was in grade 9 in the early 90's, and I remember my sex ed teacher played this video for the class as an example of sexism, and I got in trouble cuz I was singing along and headbanging at my desk, lol I remember telling the teacher (also a woman of course) to "chill out, it's a good fucking song". ..... I was asked to leave the class, lol
Mick Mars is one of the most underrated guitar players ever. He WAS the sound of Motley Crue. The other guys are flashy looking but don't do much, he just stands back and rips sick riff after sick riff. What a great band they were, personified the excess of the 80s.
The other guys don’t do much? What about Tommy drumming upside down and drinking half a bottle of Jack Daniels while still on beat? The guy is a drum beat machine… besides, Vince’s voice makes the songs sound the way they do as well
They shout out to 7 strip clubs in this song: The Dollhouse - Fort Lauderdale, Tattletale Lounge - Atlanta, The Seventh Veil - Los Angeles, Crazy Horse - Paris, Body Shop - Los Angeles, Marble Arch - Vancouver, Tropicana - Los Angeles.
Alex, you are correct, My Friend. Growing up in the 80's was amazing. I remember it fondly. It was out of control. I was a teenager in the 80's and graduated H.S. in 1989. I was right in the thick of the 80's, Brother. Some of the craziest times of my life. Be safe, Hefner.
HELL YA..Finally . Welcome to the crue rabbit hole. They grow on you quickly . Please keep it going with WILD SIDE. My personal fav other than shout at the devil. P.s. the uncensored version of this video is sweet. Sub from way way back
Crue ruled the '80s....there were a few bands that were close to them. They were on top of the hair bands though. Check out these other songs by them Home Sweet Home Shout At The Devil Livewire Wild Side Dr Feelgood Looks That Kill Red Hot Louder Than Hell Public Enemy #1
for sure, they were the glam pioners like metallica's early thrash days. i think the only bands that were close to them was Poison, Bon jovi and def leppard(although they were from UK), skid row and warrant in the late 80s
Will still hear this song in ANY strip club you walk into. Lol cant imagine how much bigger the strip clubs he mentions in this song got after this song came out. Lol
@@Coochiedestroyer23 Usually in all the ones I've ever been to the girls pick the songs. What's weird is the goth chicks who dance to Nine Inch Nails Closer. I'm mean, I'm here to have a good time and the girl looks like she's having fun on stage but I get creeped out when I hear that song.
Alex, the 80's rocked like you'll never believe. It was the big hair version of the 70's, but the 80's rock blew the roof! S,D,R&R, every damn day. ✌️❤️
As much as I like all their songs, Shout at the Devil will forever be my favorite. It was where my love of Motley Crue was born. And yes, I had a Vince Neil poster hanging on my ceiling when I was a teenager.
You need to check out Motley Crue's (You're All I Need) ...Very controversial video...Banned video! IF you can find it check it out. It's a ballad with a dark reality. I was in middle school and this was an awesome time to be a preteen/ teenager! 👏👏👏🤘💯
If you're looking for recs, here's my top 20. Welcome to the Crue 20. You’re All I Need 19. Merry-Go-Round 18. Saints of Los Angeles 17. Shout at the Devil 16. Too Fast For Love 15. Kickstart my Heart 14. 10 Seconds to Love 13. Don’t Go Away Mad (Just Go Away) 12. Piece of Your Action 11. Girls, Girls, Girls 10. Home Sweet Home 9. Too Young to Fall in Love 8. Dancing on Glass 7. Primal Scream 6. On with the Show 5. Live Wire 4. Starry Eyes 3. Take Me to The Top 2. Looks That Kill 1. Wild Side
This song was on the radio the other day and I sang it to my dog. I can't think of a way to describe his reaction without it sounding like a double entendre, but he liked it. He likes being serenaded and apparently likes Motley Crue.
some songs from this era i can hear over and over again ... some songs as a 45 yr old mom of a girl ... i kinda wanna forget. I remember loving this as a 14 yr old ... not so much anymore. Kickstart my Heart, Same old Situation, Home sweet Home. Those are good ones to revisit. :)
You should definitely react to Wild Side, Dr. Feelgood, Looks That Kill, Red Hot, and Knock ‘Em Dead, Kid!! Shout at the Devil in its entirety would be amazing, can’t think of a greater introductory album to Mötley Crüe.
Another few Crüe songs to check out: -10 seconds to love -too young to fall in love -home sweet home -wild side -all in the name of -you're all I need (video banned) -slice of your pie -without you -same ol' situation -she goes down -don't go away mad (just go away) And their covers of smoking in the boy's room and helter skelter.
@@Abax77 Nope, people who liked Hard Rock, liked Def Leppard (especially Pyromania) but nobody was a Fanatic or Copied Def Leppard, even more so after Mutt Lange changed their sound. They sold a bunch, Millions upon Millions of albums but were not influential. *Think Creed or Nickelback, Diamond selling albums but were more for housewives or beta males who prefer a lite Hard Rock. I was there in the 80's heights and lived in a Major city and State, so I experienced it.
btw, the 7th Vail if you didn't know it (before it became a gaudy pos comparatively) ;), and this song follows the writer's near obsession with one of these girls; I mean club to club/joint to joint until he got his heart broken at the Tropicana... The lyrics tell a distinct story.
THERE YA GO, MAN...THAT'S HOW TO PICK 'EM!!!!! LOVE the Crue. watchin and diggin it from a Motley fan in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. hey thanks for the little reminder of real Rock and Roll from my youth. i think its cool you are discovering our music and bringing it to the people, here on your channel. keep up your good work. watchin and loving it from a new subscriber. go with God. peace.
Does the song “from can to can’t” get requested often? Corey Taylor, Dave Grohl, and Rick Nielsen together. One of my favorite non Slipknot Corey Taylor songs.
Do Wild Side definitely - I was 16 when I saw them on the the Girls, Girls, Girls tour. That rotating drum set was amazing then, and I’ve still never seen it’s equal. That song and Kick Start My Heart are my favorite Crue songs, but there are so many great ones. Man I miss the eighties.
Believe it or not iv been subbed since like the 200 or 300s and it’s my first time going back to this channel ever since and I see half a million subs!! That’s just crazy how time flies, congrats man!!
Been to 10 Crüe concerts in my life and have never left disappointed. They put on one hell of a show. But maybe the best show was Sunset Music Festival on Sunset Blvd right in front of the Whisky a Go Go and Rainbow. Incredible show and one hell of a night!
