Count's Finer Details... 1981 Corvette! S1E7 

I love listening to the count just talk about his cars. Even though he has over 100 cars he still loves them all. He is a proper car guy and is doing exactly what any car guy or girl would do if they could.

WITH A CURB WEIGHT OF JUST UNDER 3,300 lbs, the C3 was never overweight, same weight as the current vettes are. It was just underpowered due to the heavy smog and emissions regulations that were implemented. And YES, these cars rode horrible, you felt every bump in the road. But with suspension tweaking and a new crate motor dropped in without all the emissions garbage, these vets could be turned into a monster with great looks, just as Danny did! Excellent!!!

I graduated in 1982 and I love that body style..... I’m like you, the 70’s had the best looking body styles...... good time vans and big cars ..... 😀

These cars originally stock are gorgeous and make great daily drivers but when people spice them up they become another breed. Worth every penny. A good investment.

i bought 3 vette 1980 when i was 20 . 1 used and 2 brand new. i still own the third one today and i will never sell it. for me what i really love it's the look.

I've owned 6 or 7 C-3 Vetts over the past 30 years and you're right on the money for the looks of these cars! My current restoration is a 1981 C-3 Vett T-Top with factory 4 speed and had only 2 adult owners in it's life and it came out of California. I'm trying to decide what color to do and I'm liking your red paint with the black trim. My interior is red and really clean and unmolested.

You put your Vette on a diet where I put my '85 Pontiac Fiero on a weight lifting program and is the only one that I know of that has a turbo Diesel Duramax swap in it. I've been saving my pennies for a road trip to come see you guys and show it off because I know it will blow your mind. Count is amazing dude. starts in vagas with a old vette ends up with a masterpiece. because thats what that car is. its almost like if i had that car and money wasn't really a problem. My car would look just like this. INCREDIBLE CAR 100%. The look of that vette is just awesome.

I have always loved Corvettes! My first Corvette was a 79 Vette, painted rootbeer brown. Had the same hood your Vette does and I had the 1981 rear end installed on it cause I loved the way it looked with the nice spoiler. I loved that car. The next Vette I bought was the C6 Painted Velocity yellow with black carbon striped from the hood all the way back to the rear bumpers. It is a very quick 6-speed manual and very well modded. Now with the new mid-engine C8, I think that's my next one! I think it is an awesome looking Vette. Take care Count, Cheers, Tim

In Seattle Capitol Hill , there is a white Lambo Miura body just sitting on blocks covered in green moss . I saw something awhile ago that said you were looking for one? Its been there since 1997 I do not know the owners but could easily swing by and ask mon-fri on my way to work. Its NEVER moved or BEEN TOUCHED as far as I can tell. No glass No tailight bezels I see black tires from the rear but cannot see the front end. I could take pics if the owner agrees if you are interested.

68-72 “Chrome Bumpers” best years for the C3 imo. The other years are great bargains for modifications.

That really was a good era of styling from chevy's sport cars IMO. I like the muscular lines of the cars. They seemed to have lost some of that character in the following era. But like the third gen camaros, the stock motor was ridiculously weak. The way you did up the car fits my taste perfectly. I love it.

That vette is smooth. Very good taste the way you have it. The tint looks wicked contrast to red. I have a 75. 2 tone...blue bottom white upper.

Today got up early to pull the old motor out of my '81 Silverado, clean and degrease the engine compartment so that tomorrow after I've put all the chrome accessories on the new engine, can drop it in knowing that I don't have to deal with all that dried up oil from the old engine blowing. Found a replacement bed and tailgate so getting closer to finishing my goal of restoring it.
