A gift I made for my girlfriend that counts up the amount of time we've been together in various units. Check out the code and schematics here: github.com/jerwil/Count_Up_Time
Hello, I was trying to build something similar for counting the days I have been with my gf. I am using an Arduino Leonardo an rtc 3231 and a 4digit 7-segment display. Can you please help me find what's wrong with my code? I'm willing to pay you if you could assist me! Thanks!
The DS1307 is the real time clock I'm using. According to the datasheet, the battery is used for backup purposes (not all the time), and it should be able to last 10 years or more in battery backup mode (assuming the battery doesn't self-discharge before then).
Hey there, you'll need some background knowledge with Arduino and electrical components/wiring if you'd like to make one yourself. You'll also need access to a laser cutter if you'd like to make the enclosure that I've designed. You can find the electrical schematics, PCB design files, arduino code, and lasercutting design files here: github.com/jerwil/Count_Up_Time The list of required electrical hardware can be found on that page, as well as links to photos of what the inside of the box looks like. Thanks for having a look!
Hey, that's exactly the real time clock I used in the design, so yes you can! You can check out the design files here: github.com/jerwil/Count_Up_Time The circuit board was designed used Fritzing, so you can use that software to open the files under the "Circuit Board Files" folder and see all the electrical connections in case you want to try to replicate it on a breadboard or make your own circuit board.
