Ahhh the memories. Year 7 in high school rollerskating for school sport every Tuesday. They played the top 10 relentlessly at the skating rink. Those songs take me back to great memories.
I didnt like all the songs on the top ten, but it did show we had much more variety in choice of music back then.. the Nolans were about as different from Billy Field as you can get, and nobody was singing anything close to what Shakin Stevens was putting out. Even Kim Carnes had a unique sound.
Ignatious Jones was revolting. We used to cringe - not because of his look because it was a copy of the Split Enz look who were cool. It was his ego that was ridiculously over the top. They were #10 once in 1981. He amounted to what? Anyone remember?
He had a solo hit called like a ghost and later had a swing era revival act called Pardon Me Boys which included his sister Monica Trapaga remember her?
