Crawford is a very talented fighter but he has not fought anybody. Who did he fight Gamboa a featherweight fighting at lightweight with one year inactivity, Lundy please, even Postol is not a well known fighter, I would like to see Crawford face better opposition and let us see how great he really is. Gamboa was a very small guy fighting Crawford and he had Crawford wobbly and grabbing Gamboa to survive which he did well. I just wonder what will happen when he get punched clean by a real jr welter or welter, Probaly he will get really hurt but until he face better fighters we will find out how good he is.
Tremendous that this fight is happening, so much ducking and diving in the sport, but these two are taking each other on at their peaks and putting the 0 on the line. Love Crawford. but I'm surprised Postol is such an underdog with the bookmakers. Tempted to put a little on Postol to win. It's just a great fight, that's all that matters.
People are sleeping on Postol, all the pressure is on Crawford to be this next pound for pound guy that Max Kellerman is hyping but Postol is the real deal, hes already had his moment against this big tough guy you arent suppose to beat and I think hes prepared for this. This is a next level up for Crawford and his first legit test against another champion calibur dude his own size, in fact, Postol is taller and naturally heavier. Perhaps Crawford appears to be the favorite and hes been marketed as that guy, but you cant turn a blinds eye on Postol, this is a legit fight, and its gonna be a great one.

That's right and non of them hurt him. And Matthysse is tremendeous puncher. So it's obvious - Postol has got a chin. And he will land clean shots on Bud as well. I see it as close fight in slight favor to Crawford
When a guy who is such a gifted athlete actually takes the time and does the work to become a technically great boxer you get a guy like Crawford. There are plenty of great fighters who lived and died by their athletic ability only. Once in a lifetime you get a boxer who combines the best of both worlds. Names like Hagler Leonard Robinson those are the guys that go down in history. I think Crawford has the chance... The chance to make that happen for himself and for all the REAL fight fans that enjoy the beauty of the sport. That's how excited I am at the thought of what this man can accomplish.
Postol is being counted out already. Well people you'll all in for a surprise. Postol isn't an easy fighter, he is tougher than what is expected. If crawford can't put this man down early, he'll be in for a surprise because he's gonna get a full roman bath of punches coming all over and it's going 12 rounds decision. From there the it could be either way.
yes but judges are on Crawford´s side because Arum wants him to win. Even if Postol will lead on points after 12 rounds then judges will score it a Split or Majority decision in favour of Crawford. Postol can win only by KO.

styles make fights,plus Pistol is a different fighter these days.Crawford had trouble against Beltran and couldn't ko Klimov a smaller guy.Both guys are better today and don't write Pistol off.
Pumped for this fight. I like both fighters as men and as combatants and wish both well in life. However, I do like Crawford's attack better and think that postol will lose his composure as he does have that rigidity of the eastern european upbringing. He uses his jab and height well and sets up effectively, but crawford can switch, he can throw from multiple ranges, and he has more overall fight in him to make the offense more attractive to the judges. Postol can definitely win but I don't think he will. Crawford 116-112 is my pick.
This is a very dangerous fight for Crawford. Why is it that every fight Crawford has - has to be against the very best. They should let him have a few easy fights...hard one...then a few easy ones....that will preserve him...but they are going after the best every time...hope the guy does not get hurt. Postol beat Lucas...come on.

Freddy Roach did a terrible job, until the 11th Round always advising his fighter to "jab." In the 11th, he told Postol to use his right and that worked, but too late.

Crawford is a nice guy as a matter of fact the biggest knock on him is he is a nice guy who doesn't talk trash and is very laid back. Crawford does all his talking in the ring. As a fighter he supposed to be confident in himself. Nothing but respect for him.

grapedrank666 Gamboa beat himself. Crawford have nothing on Gamboa wen it comes to boxing skill. Gamboa outclassed him the first rounds, Crawford hade no answers. He came in lazy, not motivated, untrained and not at all the same Gamboa who got famous with the light and good footwork and more active. That's why he lost.
