Disclaimer: This is only my opinion If Jake Paul can drag Iron Mike into Round 2 and beyond, Tyson will be completely and utterly gassed out. Tyson must deliver the knockout blow in Round 1 or Father Time will declare him the loser of this exhibition match. We all love Iron Mike but let’s not fool ourselves, he will be 58 years old and what the RU-vid Shorts do not show us is his lack of high level conditioning. (I want Tyson to win but no way, too darn old unless it’s fixed.)
Oscar won this fight square. By a slight margin but did enough in the beginning to secure a tight victory. All while tito landed the fewer punches in every single round. Smh
My first comment didn’t go through so I’ll try again. I like both fighters so I tried to watch the fight objectively. I thought Teo clearly won the fight. To start, Loma looked dry coming in, like he hadn’t warmed up. I thought Teo controlled Loma with his jab for the first 8 founds. Loma spent those rounds circling and trying to figure out how to close the distance. When Loma would score two or three punches, Teo would answer and back Loma out. Loma began to mount offense in 8-12, but nothing decisive. Loma would have had to sell out and get a 10/8 round or to win but for whatever reason he didn’t, maybe out of respect for Teo’s power. I had the fight 118/110 Lopez. One round I had really close so I think judge Weitzfeld’s 117/111 was right. The one low blow was unintentional as was the head butt. I know that’s not going to be popular with Loma fans but that’s how I saw the fight.
Always felt bad for Marguez he was great boxer but was always in the shadow of Morales and Barrera fame during the 2000s never got the credit he fully deserved
