I see spears being an anti-siege counter as an absolute win, they're extremely cheap and actually faster than some of the slowest cavalry units out there, like Jarls. And to be honest, if Camelry had an anti-siege bonus as well on top of their anti-cav one, I'd say they'd be grossly op.

Bizarre unit indeed but for what it's worth, they're pretty damn good at taking down cavalry and siege (and not much else tbh) And Atlanteans can always use Contarii I suppose, as they're fast and hit hard... And I'd still say Egyptian Camelry are pretty damn good against siege units despite not having a bonus Though I see your point, Raiding Cav and Prodromoi are just *that* good at countering them
@@Volcano4981 yeah true lol IMO the 2 main factors to be a good counter-siege are speed and piece armor. The Raiding cavalary are the single best unit for that.
