Nice contrast filter. The actual game does NOT look this good. Its still good but everything is way more washed out than it is in the video.

The game is so beautiful that it will still be played 4:3 on lowest settings.

At max setting in 4k, I get around 60-180 fps and it uses 100% of my 3080. Its definitely more demanding, but its worth it for the graphical upgrade IMO. Plus it utilizes the hardware better than dx9 running bare metal on your system

Too bad we all play at low settings and set the resolution to 1280 x960.

The graphical leap is most noticeable on Nuke and Inferno, the other maps look prettier, but not a massive difference, Inferno and Nuke from GO look like PlayStation 3 compared to the CS2 versions which look like genuine PS5 level graphics.

I haven't played counter strike since 1.6 when I was college so I'm def gonna try this out this weekend.

i think what csgo lacked the most in the early days was identity. the maps looked bad for its time. not graphically bad but they didnt look unique. over the years valve has clearly shown a specific artstyle. you can see that same art style in half life alyx for example. and counter strike definitely started to fall into that category as well. this slightly cartoonish artstyle wich makes the game truly feel unique. im not sure when that really started in csgo but when nuke and inferno got a remake, thats where it really stood out to me. i mean look at early days csgo inferno. it looked bland and lifeless. im so glad valve went the direction they went with csgo and are continuing that in cs2. i couldnt be more happy about how cs2 looks.

Finally, look like proper 2013 game. Comparable to Crysis 3!

Now you also need a decent GPU, I am with RTX 4070 Ti and it does the job perfect. Last month I was using RX 5700 XT and it was not smooth playable.

I didnt carea about the "graphics and realism stuff" I'm not a 16 year old kid who's amazed about realism and this alive and cringe sun that has taken the wallet of thousand of players with lies of a empty game just to monetize, this is just 0 passion to the game I miss csgo because it was a lot more simple and easy, god damn valve you only had to fix VAC and implement new anticheating system not to change the whole game... any game can have realism but the most important thing and I say this as a developer is that minimal things work fine and I bet that thousand of games that try to monetize with higher prices cannot deal with this, but valve you can, I want to see what happens next, but for now I'm not playing cs2

With the game settings at 4K 3840x2160p with everything on MAX except for Anti-Aliasing which is set to be completely OFF! And i was getting between 200 - 300FPS and it was rarely going below 200. great game. but they NEED to FIX the fps issues. on csgo i was getting 100-150 fps and on CS2 i get 30-45!!!

It barely looks any different 😂😂 yet usew way more resources, no fov slider, you cant even move and shoot, you get slowed by bullets and it has 'special' recoil, insane game, exact same maps, 😂

It's still blinding in the sun on dusty maps. A pretty animation or still image doesn't make it fun or good for visibility. Look at how Nintendo can do obviously bright areas but they still have color and read as bright without triggering the feeling that the sun is bouncing into your eyes. I like how Valve handled Overpass on the most part.
