Yes i hope that, i remember when some of the maps were only cs source redesigns, i hope they change some models or animations, like put a transparent mag on p90 or fix the belt fed on m249 and negev, or reloads on shotguns when shells dissapears in your hands or when they only lower the arm when changing magazines, maybe im being too much nitpicky, but i would like more of that, overall it's really good i play since 2005/06 and was hyped about this, game looks amazing

@@SceneShiffer Exactly. I would like to see some different types of reloads. For example slides or bolts locking open on last shot and doing an emergency reload. Or a tactical reload when the magazine still contains rounds. Either way, cant take for granted the fact we're getting a new CS.

I hope they hire hyper to remake the csgo animations XD.

@@MiekuahProductions I mean obviously, it doesn't necessarily need to be Hyper since there is a loooot of great animators nowadays but these CS GO animations are really bad and it wouldn't take an insane animator to make it much better, it only depends if Valve cares about animations or not, I hope they do...

I record them but I do the video in rush and forget to put them, you can see M4A4 at the end of the video, when I shoot the smoke...

While it is realistic i just dislike the look of it. Maybe itll look better in stretched res but still.

You can turn it off in CSGO using console Command. Can't tell if you can in CS2 but it's looks sick

@@acidpoptart4270 lol when it’s been a decade and a game is being released as a sequel, it’s expecting that they would have new assets and animations/improvements to the animations. This looks more like a graphical update than anything else

The USP model is now vastly superior. I did notice the AK is on safety, which is more egregious than the M4 being on safe since the AK safety prevents the bolt from charging all the way back

I know Hidden path made lots of mistakes but give credit to them for creating the base CSGO which was just supposed to be a mere Console port. I once saw their CEO interview and they worked Their heart out in this game Valve was so blown away by their work that they immediately bought the game from them and Decided to make it bigger. Hidden path never had chances to fix the inconveniences with the updates cause they handed the game to Valve otherwise They could definitely have made the game a lot better if they had the control over the game Also CSGO has such a great solid base ( thanks to Hidden path ) that even CS2 is trying to be as close TO csgo as possible. From movements to shooting mechanics to art direction. It's still more or less true to its 2013 version. I am sure Hidden path will be proud of their work for creating a masterpiece which will probably last over 2 decades ( csgo 10 years and CSGO source 2 probably another 10 ). Remember the best counter strike were always made by 3rd parties. Original CS was made by Minh and Cliffe ( 2 modders) and CSGO made by Hiddenpath. Valve made CS source which considered Inferior of the 3

Idle = AFK people, and that is something you definetly don't want in CS. And if you mean animations that can play even when you're walking, would be distracting, I don't think that idle animations fit in any way in Counter-Strike.

They never said it's a different game. Cause a different game will be released standalone not upgrading the current CSGO. ITS nothing but CSGO upgrade and never meant to be Something brand new. The goal was make the game run and feels like CSGO in a new engine same time Modernize the Graphics, UI and overall optimizations... I think they did a solid job cause the games looks better, load way faster, feels much smoother and UI is amazing. Specially the new lobby system and graphics settings where you can see the changes in menu and it's almost instant...In old csgo if you change any graphics settings it used to freeze for some seconds before the change, CS doesn't... Overrall the game feels more polished compares to CSGO.

@@Vinicantstopcrying Well it was mostly based on the name change "counter Strike 2" however was stated it will be a free release for the original owners of CSGO While a free update is always good, I really dont see the point on use a sequel name for it, specially one with little gameplay changes... Games like for example Rust and many others have a "legacy" and "final" versions contained on the same game/name. This looks more like a marketing thing than anything (and with this I am not saying the new engine and updates wont be interesting or require effort) But It is not that much different from "overwatch 2" way of promotion... HL and Portal suffered certain evolution, even L4D did it (but not that much) CS is probably the franchise less evolved by Valve, and this is the number 5...

@@BioClone I am not sure about others games, as I am not really a Hardcore gamer but I have like 10k hours in 1.6, CSS and Go and historically speaking Valve always just slightly modified the original CS 1 and name it different in each upgrade. Like CS 1 to CS 1.2/1.6. CS source was basically a remaster of CS 1.6. Just like CS2 looks like a remaster of CSGO. Also CS2 beta imo looks much better than CSGO BETA of 2011. It's already much smoother than 2023 CSGO, Feels more polished despite its on beta state and In the future the game will be upgraded to new guns sounds/animations and news game mode like ( Surfing ) etc. We should really wait for CS 2 alpha Version to judge why Valve rebranded it and name it " CS2"...even if they doesn't change anything ( unlikely) , I still think the name change gets a pass anyways cause it's looks Visually upgraded.

@@Vinicantstopcrying Well it depends on how you see it (the evolution/upgrades on the franchise) Just want to point that 1.0 was 2000, 1.6 was near 2002, source near 2003 and GO on 2012... On that time weapons were added, condition zero had a campaign, source rebuilded every prop, ragdoll or texture, GO mostly improved graphics again and balanced the game reverting certaing changes people disliked on source... I agree is soon to say anyrhing, but if we assume 1.0 was not developed by valve, and only for condition zero they got the mod guys working for them, this "counter strike 2" took as much to get shown to the public as much as the whole franchise existence (10 years).. So for me feels "not exciting" simpli it feels too late... I already experienced this with GO 10 years ago, so def im not going to expect a sudden massive improvement on the franchise now, yet I still feel the idea of moving GO skins into "CS2" is a sintom of how this franchise becoming that famous is making it being stuck and being perceived as a classic, like how noone pretendes to reinvent chess because is a classic, yet average population is simply bored of it being always the same.

@@BioClone I am not really Flashy with my English as I am not native speaker but I try to best to make my point understandble. Sorry for the inconvenience. I like it how you compare SPORTS with CSGO but I would say it's more like football/soccer rather than complicated chess cause it's Easy to learn/play and hard to master. The Principles are really simple and one the reason both are No 1 in Their respective category. Many People likes simple things which is same times highly enjoyable. and exactly the reason I believe the game is never changed much from its original CS ( 2000 ). Cause the oversimplified gameplay makes it unique and contributing its longevity. There are Audience for it and The particular audience likes it for it's unchanged gameplay for 2 decades....Also Not only old gamers but new generation of gamers equally enjoyed it like the old one. So the old classic CS proven to be Futureproof with the new age of gamers equally liking it. Recentlly CSGO broke the record of highest average and peak numbers record. So my point being Becasue of its popularity and " Never fix something which isn't broken" motto influenced valve not to change the classic CS drastically in CS2.. Also One Statement Valve made to Pro players in first day of Beta testing was " Make sure you the classic satisfying feeling of OLD CS is still present in CS2" so I think the beta was just a platform to test how the gameplay feels and getting the review for it and The extra content will be updated with either in alpha Version or in the future. The beta was all about the gameplay and UI. Nothing more It's highly likely we will see - New guns animations - Total new guns Sounds ( already changed 3 gunsounds in beta ) - New Gamemodes. - Voicelines of New CT/T team Are coming and if they does then there won't be any complaints about the name change imo cause We didn't expect anything more from CS2.

I actually just looked up gameplay of the beta and damn, that is a good sign at how far they could come with the source 2. CS2 could look even betterr a year from now. thats wild to see the difference from the CSGO beta to now

💀you need to play it to notice the lighting difference, this guy is playing on the lowest setting with fsr upscaling so it doesn't looks as good but they switched to a PBR rendering pipeline and it looks insane compared to CSGO, this is just a basic port of dust2 that's why you won't see a huge difference but in maps made with source 2 it will look insanely different trust me

Really, mostly models in c2 looks like plastic, also new nuke

Look at csgo beta from 2011. The default guns used to looked dope and shiny as F but Valve later make them matte and pathetic. I think CS2 will suffer the same fate. They will same downgrade them and make them gloss to Matte

that special shader they have in CSGO really did a good job of hiding how old they are. If you slap PBR on the old models, they'd probably looks even more dated.

@@HawaiianSnow1337 you can see how p90 mag works in new COD, for example. the mag runs out of bulltes and we are supposed to see it, as it is translucent. A2023 game without this feature is dumb af

@@fabiosanches2794 It's literally just a difference in textures. It doesn't change anything but a few pixels on your screen. Also not all P90 mags are translucent.

yeah man pretty lazy to port the whole game over to a new engine, rework all the maps, improve many skins, add volumetric smokes and implement a completely new subtick system never seen before in valve games
