Never been much of a lyric person, I usually just listen to the music and take the lyrics for granted. Just read the lyrics to this song and it hit me to the core. I've been dealing with depression for quite some time, and all of this is so painfully recognisable to me, it's like I could've written these exact same lyrics. Thank you guys for expressing what I fail to express so often, I am in your debt.

I've had the honor of playing with these dudes twice now and both times, they absolutely killed it.

The lyrics to the whole album brings tears to my eyes. I'm so sorry counterparts I skipped out on you guys for this new album but came back and now I'm so ashamed!!! At first I was too attached to the current will carry us for and for some odd reason didn't like the album. Then I really listened to it and fell in love again.

First Alexisonfire, then Comeback Kid, then Counterparts. Canada produces some good hardcore.

Honestly, I've literally never cried from just hearing music until I heard this song. I've been through the ringer during my brief 20 years of living and Counterparts has helped me push the hardships that I've had to endure. I love this band.

I didn't know an already perfect genre could be perfected. This is insane. Their whole new record is insane!

Forever my favorite album.

You guys gave me the time of day at the peak of my alcoholism and you helped me grow past it. You helped me pull all of the loose strings worth of tangents I let go astray back together. Some may see this music as negative, but these are truly words I was too afraid to speak, yelled at volumes I wished I had the courage to expel them out.

I think it's both, I'm pretty sure (throughout other songs lyrics) he talks about depression and wanting to die and making these songs to spread his word + an aid for those suffering too.. not sure, but he's such a good dude!

Counterparts has delivered 3 stellar albums in a row. They aren't an arrogant band or a band that markets 'likes' and 'shares'. It is about the music, it is about the connection with fans, lyrically. This is why Counterparts is the best hardcore band right now, and will be for some time.

i swear they are becoming one of my favorite bands. i heard this song on AXSTV, and fell in love :) i was a pierce the veil fan but i got into more more and more of em and yeah 💕

This band literally is perfect. Everything they write, lyriclly and instrumentally is just mesmorizing. They're real; and that's what a lot of people have lost in music now a days. I love the emotion and everything put into this band. Come back to Philly already.

The difference between a musician and a guitar player... is a musician does their part no matter how simple (or complex) to compliment the finished product and a guitar player is only worried about their part sounding good (usually only appreciated by other musicians) Anyone who has listened to this band in their entirety knows they have "hard to play" riffs at times but they always allow their musicianship to prevail. Just my 2 cents I suppose.

this Max Moore guy seems to be a pretty awesome director.. he directed Touche Amores music video for Gravity, Metaphorically and it was equally as rad
