Dude. I’m sorry to say but this was poor. You shortened the points next to the unit when you didn’t have to. You hit so many points on the unit when the unit is square. You didn’t put tape against the worktop. You assumed the size of the worktop even though you scanned for a scribe otherwise you’d have only hit 2 points. You didn’t even scan the side of the worktop next to the cooker. You have allowed no room to get the piece in. This was such a poor example. In the time you took I’d have templated this in sheets and been for a coffee. You actually put me off buying this machine.
Hey, Michael, thanks for the tips. This video was done quite some time ago when we were just starting out, and we've learned a lot since then. Be on the lookout in the next few weeks for an updated video!
Exactly. But it’s not the machine. This guy clearly hasn’t been around kitchens. Iv been in the granite trade 20 years. I’d do this in 1minute and you guys would see it edited etc.
@@michaellowe9392 Since posting that remark I have used this (2D3D) and found it to be quite nice for vertical measuring, an area the Proliner fails to perform well. I also found that the set up can be less of a hassle than I thought as well. I still prefer using the Proliner, but have learned to like both.
To exit a drawing and start a new scan, select the house icon in the top right hand corner, below the X used to close the software. You'll be prompted to save/exit scan etc...
Pause the scan then select the "Skip the Rest" when it asked if you would like to edit the scan you can select "No" and it will complete the scan or if you hit "Yes" then you can add points and select the check on the right side panel to complete the scan.
I’m tumbling with $300 in cardboard expenses in over 4 years, when here you’ll tumble with maybe over 8k. Such an expense and still not training other than you tube videos?
I recently got to play with Etemplate Measure Manager at training I did for a company. It seems that when the Measure Manager is in use it disables the AutoScan feature in the Leica software, I could not get it to work without turning off the Etemplate Measure Manager and starting a new file in the Leica's software when I saw "Measure" in the top right corner of the Leica software then I was able to use the AutoScan. I think that is one of the best features of the 3D DISTO and am perplexed as to why it would be disabled in the Etemplate software.
@@Advanceddimensions I thought so to. I recently learned that it even had this function, but was surprised that such a key feature was disabled. I wonder who I could address about this to see if this is something they are even aware of. Thank you for the response.
