Love those light's over kitchen sink..... They look very sharp, and will add lots of warmth in the evenings... The whole kitchen looks great, and so does the entire front half of the house.... Now time to get a shop built, so you can have a designated place to store all your tools, and allow you to do project's without getting rained on, and winter weather holding things up... I just talked to a designer friend of mine and she says that if you paint them a very soft brass color inside you still get the black accent while adding warmth to the kitchen area. Great idea and I hope you will consider! XX's Love you guys!

My husband and I have remodeled seven houses and I know that wonderful feeling when the counters go in and the kitchen is getting done. No better feeling...(except maybe getting a toilet!) and I am happy for you. We are 64 and 67 and still fixing houses, it gets into your blood.

We are home to U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Groton/New London Submarine Base and Electric Boat/General Dynamic Submarine builder along with Foxwoods Resort Casino and Mohegan Sun Resort Casino. I'm blessed to enjoy an amazing Ocean view. We also have New London Lighthouse, Avery Point Lighthouse and New London Ledge Lighthouse. Fish and Lobster right off the boat. I really like the outcome of the kitchen... very well thought out and it came together beautifully! It’s been a journey and to think there’s still the second half of the house that needs to go up! Will be a pleasure to see the final results when the house is 100% completed! Also, I’m with Josh, the “cheap” light shades aren’t bad at all and look decent... again, it can be replaced with something nicer in the future if need be.. move on to the next project and come back to the lights at a later date!

Those 3 lights should be above island and install spot recessed lights above countertop. 3 hanging lights are blocking that nice window and view that you have. I have always install them above island. But if work's for you ... Electrician nyc.

The fridge need that air gap to vent out the hot air generated at the back. You can vent it throu the top cabinet with large drilled holes for example.
