So far the USA haven't cared too much about football, or as they call it, soccer. The main interests of America are geopolitical and military power, although they aren't that good at recognizing how much help they have received from others throughout their history.
Fun fact: Uruguay actually has 4 stars on its jersey and it is allowed by FIFA. They are counting the Olympic tournaments in 1924 and 1928 as world titles. These tournaments are different than modern Olympics as they were organised by FIFA, and were opened to all players including professionals, so they are effectively World Cups before the current separate tournament format started in1930.

The running gag is that Argentina wants to be seen as European, not Latin American. And Europe pays no mind to them outside of soccer. Such to the point where they get “confused” with other countries or regions they don’t actually pertain to.
It was kind of funny that it was Brazil saying that South America is a continent, because in here we don’t consider South America a continent, the continent is America, south, north and central are just regional divisions. That’s why we hate that people from the US call themselves “Americans”, cause technically we’re all Americans. Great video tho ❤
The US is united states of America, so makes sense they call themselves Americans, but I am from Europe and I Consider the whole American continent as one single Continent, not two

Very nice video. But just one thing: in Brazil (as in most of South America, I believe) we do not consider South America and North America to be 2 different continents. For us it is only one continent.

Uruguay considers themselves to have 4 World Cups because they consider 24 and 28 Olympics to be World Cups. Therefore Uruguay jersey has 4 stars on it not 2:)
