As an Turkish, my parents and I drink tea before breakfast, during breakfast, during lunch and after dinner almost everyday so I can confirm this is true
There's no outing without tea. After the meal we drink tea. When we want something sweet, tea. When a guest comes, we serve them tea and drink together. Breakfast is always a tea time. There's not enough tea after only one cup. We drink 2-3 cups of tea everytime
@@Changed.User100During 1773, American Colonists were against the taxation the British had settled in. As a sort of protest, the Colonists dumped crates of Tea into the Harbor. This event will be known as the *BOSTON TEA PARTY*
Hot tea in winter, cold tea in summer, black tea for cheerfulness, green tea for mood, fruit tea for exotic, berry tea for comfort and this is only the tip of the iceberg.😅
It depends, chai is lovely midday or as an afternoon snack with some biscuits - but i gravitate towards the UK tea in mornings and evening as its lighter
@@pranjalibhagwat2055 yea, things like produce rarely come from first world countries, only second/third world countries like Ukraine etc Edit: editing this as I feel it may have come across as rude, these were not my intentions
@@RajPatel-qe4cx I don't really think it's rude, it's more so a fact, I myself am mixed - coming from a third world and second world country, I don't see how this is offensive because it's a fact and it's not inherently criticising someone/insulting someone, it's just the stigma built around those words To elaborate further, if I were to say "the white girl" or "the black girl", it's just a descriptive word, however, other people may feel offended and take it the wrong way, when in reality it's just a descriptive word and a fact, the girl is white/black, however, I am happy to hear your point of view
I have friends from Turkey who I rarely see drinking any water at all, they only drink tea. They’re so used to it, they get headaches when they don’t drink it. I had a friend who wouldn’t leave his house for work or travel without having a vacuum jug (1 litre or above) of tea.
To clarify things, I’m ethnically from Turkey (my parents are born there), hence having so many turkish friends, but I was born in another country (so second generation immigrants).
In Turkey tea isn't just a beverage. You drink tea with breakfast. You drink tea after breakfast. You drink tea before lunch. You drink tea after lunch. You drink tea all the way until dinner after which you keep drinking tea. The kettle keeps boiling until you're ready to go to bed. We have entire rooms in every work building dedicated to just tea. We have people earning their salary by just delivering tea. There are businesses located in populated parts that only serve tea to nearby businesses. Since it's inconvenient to pay every single time these businesses sell you tokens in bulk and take one token per tea every time they deliver. Most businesses buy them in the hundreds because they know they'll drink that much tea in the next week. All Turkish fathers are equipped with the ability to detect a kettle being turned off, if you see your father is asleep and turn off the kettle he will appear behind you saying "I'm still drinking that". When you are going to visit someone you call 15 minutes before you arrive so they can make tea. You don't tell them to make tea, you just say you are 15 minutes away and they'll make tea. When you are visiting a friend's business they will pick up the phone and ask you single or double. They don't ask if you want tea, they know you do. They just ask how much tea you want to gauge how long you'll stay. The most prominent drink for picnics is tea. We still have kettles that boil water using coal so we can drink tea while we are grilling our food. And we can drink tea after we are finished eating. I can honestly go on but my fingers are getting tired😅
@@markmayfield2228we drink at least 3 cups of tea every time when we make some so a normal person at least drinks 9 cups of tea every day thhis is like 450g of cafeine I guess
Finally someone recognises how much tea we drink. Hardly a day goes by where I don't drink at least 2 cups a day. My nan, on the other hand, drinks 4 to 5 cups a day depending if she has visitors
If it was just Texas, Oklahoma and another state down south in the US vs everyone, we’d have then beat by 3 times. Sweet tea, hot tea, iced tea, green tea, chamomile lemon tea, peppermint tea. We drink so much tea in the summer it’s not funny.
My dad single-handedly increases Turkey's tea drinking rate lol I think he drinks like 10 or 12 cups everyday But its normal because we drink tea at breakfast, after breakfast, after dinner, with desserts or sometimes midday I usually drink with breakfast, when i study and after dinner Also at turkey after eating at restaurants they always give you free tea right after you eat to refresh you lol
@@M4lfucnt10ned yea that’s true bc when I went to go get a SIM card the dudes like” would you like some tea” and I didn’t really feel like it so I said “no thanks” but he kept insisting so we got tea in the end, HE DIDN’T EVEN ASK IF WE WANTED ANYTHING ELSE LIKE BRO I WANT WATER
Belarusian person here, i think i personally drink about 2.5 kg of tea, but that goes pretty much to all slavic people. Sometimes they also like to brew it in unbelievably large mugs while adding like 40 grams of tea in one mug. For me personally a 100 gram pack is enough for 2 weeks of drinking tea every day at least 3 times a day in a considerably big mug. I rarely drink just water.
I'm honestly Suprised the US didn't rank higher. The whole southern US drinks sweet tea, and I know I have consumed more tea than that average in the past week. So looked it up, a gallon of tea is roughly 3.8kg. I have downed a little more than that considering I drink about 32oz of sweet tea a day, and there are 7 days in a week.
yeah when I went to Türkiye they served tea like if it's water and tea is free for everyone who buys food while water isn't and even in the hotel every room has an electric kettle glasses and bags of tea just so they're sure you're not drinking water but who blames them their tea is phenomenal
As a NE indian ( most of tea are grown here ) we do drink ALOT of tea ! As a region it can be in paar with turkey --- my family buys 250grams tea leaves twice a month and were just 4 members in our family ! Soooo
As a Malaysian, we drink tea everywhere. Teh tarik, teh o limau ais, tie Guan yin, chai, Thailand milk tea. For a small country, we have a lot of tea drinks 😂
Im Turkish and i swear this is true. In Turkey, people drink tea with every meal they have. My mom uses the teapot until sleeping time. Tea is blessed in here.
Facts for the Turkish one. My family drinks tea every breakfast, every lunch, every dinner, every snack time, every random time and anytime we get the chance. I’m drinking tea myself right now
As a Turkish person i can confirm that in Turkey we drink tea in breakfast, sometimes lunch and even dinner sometimes. We drink tea at the evening while watching TV, talking with guests etc. when we get bored we make tea and drink it. When the temperature is high we drink tea. When the temperature is low we drink tea. Basically, we drink tea.
I knew at least one Arabic country had to be there because we drink Chai “tea” all the time. And yes chai is tea in Arabic too. It’s either that or Arabic coffee called Qahwa which is coffee beans roasted with cardamom and other spices. I’ve also seen something everywhere called شاي مخدر which translates to drugged tea 🤔 I’m assuming it’s a type of tea that’s so good it’s addictive? 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤣 but everyone’s been into Spanish latte and matcha lately. Oh and we love karak tea too 😫 basically all teas and coffees are loved here
I literally drinking tea right now, I made one jug of tea for myself and watching this make me laugh🤣🤣 By the way, I'm from Malaysia 🇲🇾 🇲🇾 Also, thank you💜 for sharing information about the "world" because it's open my eye and it also help me to learn more things😁👍
As an Indian I can confirm that the number is way higher because whether it be day or night, summer or winter each person drinks about 3 cups of tea a day....
turkey tea facts we have places similar to bars but only for tea they teach young girls to make tea (8 to 9 yo) they sell tea in kindergarten cafeterias
I'm irish and I usually have 7 or 8 cups of tea a day. Everyone drinks tea on their lunch break at my work too. We always have an excuse for a cuppa so I'm not surprised Ireland is in this video
I've been to Turkey and I drank tea more times than water, and the best part Is that even if It's really hot outside and the tea is served warm, It's still refreshing and stops thirst
But if you see they have this 20 ml shot glasses In which they drink tea😂 I can have 20 shots if given in those glasses. Indians have a decently sized 100-150 ml sized cups for tea. And drink like 3 times a day
I live in Turkey so hear me out... 2 tea glass of tea with breakfast 2 tea glass for evening breakfast tea 2-3 tea glasss for night time tea before going to sleep If we visit someone we drink more tea If someone visits us we drink more tea If its cold outside we drink tea If its hot outside we drink tea I prefer coffee but we drink tea We LOVE tea
