05:50 - 05:56 Otherwise a great video tutorial for beginners, but here I need to disagree. You know, I'm a seasoned pro player in rock, blues and country style and I've used my middle finger for all my life to prevent my pick from slipping out of my grip. It's not that I squeeze my pick with three fingers, but my middle finger sort of arrests the pick where it is. This may also be due to the fact that I mainly use very small mandolin picks (Fender teardrops). And still I can do hybrid picking nicely, because when I switch to hybrid, I just release my middle finger for a moment and that's it. Great job, man, please keep up the good work!

Good stuff---might help to point out that on those 6 interval bends, one note is raised a half step and the other a full step, so you've got to bend one string more than the other (except when you've got a 2---dom 7 interval).

I like 10 guage strings, you can be a little rough with them or, a little trashy. Also, they can give you a smooth ballad.

When talking about your hrmonized 6th at the 8th fret, it looks like you're putting your MIDDLE finger on the 1st string 7th fret, but it's REALLY your little finger, first string 8th fred that's producting the note. Took me 10 min to figure out why I wasn't getting the right note.

Always looking for creative ways to play pedal steel licks. Just bought the zoom G1 Four. Waiting for it to arrive. Most of the videos seem to be with distortion etc. Looking for. Delay ECT. I think it will give country sounds but the video and reviews all seem to neglect that.

it would sound more like a pedal steel tone without the slapback delay.

What kind of pick ups do you have? I'm playing a mim tele and it just doesn't have that brightness that you got and what's the amp settings?

Well I guess I didn’t need to buy that pedal steel after all…

It's not '' really difficult'' to play these licks closer to the nut . Slightly more difficult would be more accurate . If your having trouble with strength practice half the time on an acoustic with heavy strings .
