I love to hear Big Tom singing i would stand in the snow listening to him singing R.I.P he was great i loved that Band all bands was good but Big Tom was the best .
Just stumbled upon this video. So many memories of my brother playing Big Tom's records and my sister dancing to his music most of the night. Big Tom was our Elvis Presley. May he rest in peace and forever sing his heart out. What a beautiful voice and gentleman. Music breaks down all barriers. Blessings, Beannacht na Nollag. USA(&Sligeach)
I owe a lot to this man for my upbringing, my Mam and Dad ar from Clones, Co Monaghan, and they had every record released by Big Tom.... He was played constantly in our home.... I had the privilege of seeing him live with my mother on St Patrick's night at The Assembly Rooms in Derby 1981, it was a year to the week after my dad had passed away, I was 12 years old... We were front row, I hung on every word he sang,... In the 90s I went to his pub The Old Log Cabin in Castleblaney Co Monaghan,.. but he wasn't around.... I'm 53 now, and still listen to all his songs, in the car and at home... Especially when I'm on the beer.... Long live Big Tom... 👍☘️🇮🇪🥃🍻

Well done Hugh , we were delighted and honoured to be associated with this production. Tom was a close family friend and we were proud to look after his motoring requirements for many years. Michael who is also a close friend of the Mc Bride family put Tom at ease which contributed greatly to this down to earth tribute. RIP Tom and Rose Gerard Sherlock
A legend indeed it's a pity he wasn't let flow without been interrupted. And it's about tom and no other artist plus the adds destroyed the documentary
Another thing about all the great showbands which is largely forgotten are the musicians. Toms unique sound was created by John Beattie and Seamus McMahon
