I hope you enjoy this different version of an old favorite ... Just about every one covers this song.....so I took some liberties and did it my own way.....it's one of those songs that just puts you in a good mood..... Kappa
First: I've never posted a comment in the years I've been watching covers here. AS a born and bred West by GOD Virginian, I can honestly say, that this is by far the absolute second greatest version of our State Anthem I've heard. That is of course second only to John's orginal. You are a gifted artist with a blessed voice. Thank You.
I was born and raised in West Virgina, This song means so much to all West Virginians, especially those who are away. You do it so much justice! Usually when I hear this played by anyone but John Denver, it is butchered!! You do it so well! I love you take on it, good job!
Wow! Been listening to your music all night! I can see you singing everything from Bl;uegrass to Rock with that voice. Love the family coustic stuff the most!
What, no half-naked dancers gyrating around a stage? What, no pyrotechnics either? Just a guitar and a woman singing a great song beautifully from her heart. I will take that all day long, every day. I have been following Kappa for almost 13 years now. Never get tired of hearing her sing solo or with Emma and Hallie.
your very inspirational! i abousutely love your voice and place where you do belong. No pund intended! i went through all your songs and you put a big wow in my heart for your love for your music. It made me shed a tear, and im not ashamed to say that. great job and i want to hear more.
Beautiful. Wow, my mother recently passed away and this was her favorite song. She was from Huntington, W.V and this song always made her homesick. It actually makes me tear up, but I always end up with a smile. I only wish that my dear mom could hear this wonderful version. Somehow, I think that she does. I have you to thank for that, and I thank you dearly. Peace out, to two awesome ladies!!!
Wow such passion, emotion and conviction!...... I am not a country music person, but you my dear have melted my heart....... WOW....you are a beautiful woman and have a lovely lovely voice..... (wish i were your husband ;) )
Kappa, I love that you veered from the original just enough to make a very familiar song sound new again while at the same time maintaining it's integrity, and of course your performance was, as always, flawlessly beautiful. Many stars and another Kappa favorite. Mattie
