I have worked in kitchens since I was about 12 years old and what I love about your channel is that you explain simple things as you go that will help beginning chefs so much. And you don't make a bit deal of it. Like when you suggested moving the potatoes to a bowl to avoid crowding the board. Those kinds of things are the difference between good cooks and great ones. I am enjoying your channel a lot! Thank you!
I love watching your videos because I can tell by your body and facial expressions that you are very passionate about your food! I was born and raised in the Philippines growing up eating spanish foods because both of my parents were part Spanish. My dad's great grandparents came from Madrid and Barcelona. My mom's great grandfather came from Acapulco. I have been to Barcelona 3 times, and also other parts of Spain, Argentina, Mexico, etc. I LOVE THE FOOD, Thanks for sharing your recipe😍
Teaching myself Spanish for the last few years and still going today.. your channel helps motivate me and I'm loving every recipe and it's coming out a win for my family. Keep it up 👍
Had been looking for a tortilla recipe that could evoke the taste of the one in the tapas bar I used to frequent before the lockdown ... found it! Really great, family loves it, and I'm going to try each single one of your tortilla recipes! Best regards Michaela from Germany
👋 blind cook here. I absolutely love your videos. I made this for breakfast this morning… my partner and I truly enjoyed. This will definitely be on my breakfast rotation. 💚🍽️👩🦯
Viva la raza y Spain! My grandma and ancestors were from Spain. I didn’t know what Mexican food was nor did I learn how to make it until I was in my 20’s. (I was born in the USA. I live here. Would love to visit Spain).Though grandma did learn how to make the flour tortillas, a tortilla was a different thing to a Spaniard. I love it, the paella, flan and other Spanish foods, also the soupy Spanish rice she made. Gracias! Your presentations are awesome. Thank you very much for your wonderful videos and recipes! Viva España! 🇪🇸😁👍🥰
I didn't make this because I am staying away from potatoes for awhile. But I used this method and made it with shallots, olives, red bell pepper, garlic, spinach and ham. Delicious. I was nervous about the flip but following your directions it worked fine. Love this method. My husband and I are going soon on a fairly long plane ride so I figure I could make a couple of Spanish omelets, cut them into wedges, and we will have something to eat on our journey other than junk food. Thank you.
May I also add one ingredient to this video. I LOVE THE SIMPLE EASY CLEAR EXPLANATION AND PRECISE RECIPE. WELL DONE.Cant wait to try and share, although I live alone, looking forward to sharing. Thanks again.👌👌👌
Reminds me of a frittata. I like how you mix the veggies and potato with the egg and then return it to the pan. I must admit that I will be adding cubed sharp cheddar. Yummy
You have the only channel I watch that stops my wife as she walks through the room. Usually she is on a wine refill mission while her romance shows are paused in the other room. She loved this episode, and so did I. There was a run on potatoes here recently, but I will scout out some markets further from the beaches, where our population is highest.
Back in the 80s I lived in Spain for four years. This was my absolute favorite thing to eat. But I never made it. Now I can. Going to make it this weekend for my grandkids. Will leave out the peppers though. They won’t touch it if they see those. I honestly don’t remember peppers in it either. Anyway….thanks.
The first morning in Spain before cellphones and the net, I was feeling guilty that my son would be eating tortilla for breakfast because I thought it would be like a Mexican tortilla, too spicy for a 10 month old. It was the only food I recognized when Modesta, the owners niece offered it, and better than him being hungry. When she brought it to our little table I was delighted and said, "This is like an omelette!" And so delicious! Especially with espresso! Later she graciously taught me how to make it, plate flip and all. As well as other wonderful and kind Spanish ladies that taught me other dishes but she was the first. I miss Spain, her people, all the flavors they gave to my senses and carry them all in my heart. Hope your viewers make the tortilla. It is much more than just eggs and potatoes and it must be cooked with olive oil! Any other oil will make it far less tasty. Thank you for sharing foods of Spain!
I have made this, and it is very good and very filling.. So if you are making this just for just one (female?) person, I would suggest using half of the ingredients 😉
Just finished making this delicious tortilla de patatas, I kicked it up a notch and added baby shrimp, WOW, it was amazing. Muchas gracias hermano por la deliciosa receta.
When making pancakes from scratch i always add a cup or so of instant dry potatoes- Just a little healthier- I also do that with scrambled eggs mixing them with a beater
I lived 10 years in Spain, tortil la de papas is made differently, sliced potatos are cooked with onion in large amount of oil witch then is drained off, potatos back to pan with garlic, eggs are added, when loose on sides plate goes on top and its flipped over to cook the other side.
Thos looks fabulous! I love your videos, it's obvious to me that you love potatoes as much as I do. What size skillet did you use? I couldn't tell. Thanks, and keep making your great videos.
We call these Frittatas here in the US. They are an open canvas for cooking and an excellent way to use up leftovers. I don't have any problem with your ingredients. Its the method. If you loosen the eggs in the pan and slide the cooked side onto the plate, then put the pan on top and then flip it, you save a lot of the good things you are cooking instead of wasting them.
Dude..!! I was watching pubg clips wth...!! It's 12:53pm and I'm feelin hungry af right now. It always happens with me. Always ended up on food videos at midnight.😓
