This documentary, made in the municipality of Urumita (La Guajira), located at the foot of the Perijá mountain range in the Colombian Caribbean Region, presents the testimonies of 6 peasant women and 2 men of different ages and roles at a social level, where they put into evidences contrasts between the way they live and face daily the challenges posed by climate change in their rural environment, related to their agricultural activity, the local economy, the protection of nature and the role of women in this area in the food production (specifically coffee).
All of the above seeks to account for how this population group receives a differentiated and proportionally greater impact due to the effects of climate change, which is increased due to different aspects related to gender dynamics such as the sexual division of labor, job stereotypes domestic and family care. Finally, the leading role that women have to face this challenge is highlighted.
