County Commissioners Who Won't Certify Election To Be Referred To A.G. For Prosecution 

Charge them and prosecute them. Period.

Not their job to like who won. Gop need to stop doing this when they don't win. It is just sad.

"What, you're going to put me in prison?" This is the brazen mentality that arises when accountability is not upheld, they end up having no respect for law & order!

Someone forgot to tell them that facts don’t care about their feelings.

As deputy Barny would say "nip it in the bud". If they refuse to do their job they need to be removed from office TODAY and replaced by someone who will. County clerks are not supposed to be able to ignore the votes and put their candidate in office.

Thank you Otero County Commissioners for once again making the National news for something so ridiculous. And to my commissioner you lost my vote, if I ever get to vote, for participating in this utter nonsense.

The voters need to sue any county commissioner that refuses to certify election results for violating their constitutional right to honor their vote. And yes, criminal prosecution!

Removal from office should be a given. Regardless of whether any of them go to prison; they shouldn’t be allowed to have any connections to our elections.

My “feeling” is that this is a warm-up for things to come. I will “feel” much safer when these folks are moved on and dealt with according to the rule of law. Seems more and more like we’re dealing with children.

They're in a position that they need to do the will of the people. If they ignore the will of the people that is treason and they should be treated as traitors.

When you disobey a court order, it's contempt of court and therefore jail time. If she doesn't comply with it, she better be locked up. This picking and choosing who gets to break the law is ridiculous.

When someone reacts so nonchalantly to the possibility of going to prison when they've done something wrong, you really need to lock them up.

It's hard to comprehend that these commissioners seriously believe they can refuse certify the primary election results, i.e. not follow the law, because they "don't feel good about it" ? 0:22 That is mindboggling that one of the commissioners dared someone to "put me in prison".

There needs to be some real consequences for crimes against the people. These commissioners looked at all the various seditionists who still haven’t been held accountable and thought they’d give it a try themselves.

In high school, I played a game of backgammon with one of my closest friends and as I was winning she got mad and flipped the board over👀 I was shocked at her behavior. We were still just kids🤷🏽‍♀️ but looking at the madness that’s going on nowadays, it’s downright scary. These people are supposed to be serving their constituents. One of the Commissioners was at the Jan. 6th. I believe he is the head of group called " Cowboys for Trump". The female Commissioner laughing and daring to be jailed, I hope she gets her wish to be jailed.

For most of us mere mortals, flagrantly disobeying a court order DOES land us in jail. These Republicans may find out the hard way that they are not as entitled as they think they are.

They should be charged & jailed. At the absolute least, they should lose their jobs & get banned from holding public office again. I have found it useful whenever a politician/official says, "I feel" or "I beleive" its best to completely ignore the rest of what is about to be said as none of it will be based in fact but instead that individuals beliefs or feelings. Its the best 'tell' i have found to date.

Their Job is to count Ballots. There should be no person(s) who arbitrarily decides to Certify for no reason. "Certification" is a statement confirming that Ballots were received properly, Counted accurately, and then sent to the next authority. That is it.

So, when you sign paperwork to run in an election, you sign an affidavit swearing to act honorably and abide by the outcome, the same as when you get your driver's license, you agree to stop for police actions. Anyone who fails in this capacity would be ineligible to run in future elections. Just enforce the laws!

I’m a USAF veteran. I was stationed at Holloman AFB near Alamogordo NM from 1975 to 1979. During that time, I came to consider Alamogordo my home. I came this close (pinches forefinger and thumb together) to buying five acres in Boles Acres. But I got non-volunteer orders to Alaska which put the kabash on that plan. I left the Air Force after my Alaska tour. To this day, I regret not buying a little five acre plot in Boles Acres. Five acres and a well. $5,000. Anyway, that was 1979 and I was 23 years old. Fast forward to 2022. I’m almost 66 years old and nearing retirement in the San Francisco Bay Area. When I first read about this issue with the election commission refusing to certify the election, I assumed that we were talking about some backwoods county. Certainly not some place that I considered to be home for four years of my life. And certainly not a county with a very active military base that brings in people from all over the world who decide to settle here. It pains me to hear that local government officials are caught up in the big lie. A contempt of court violation isn’t good enough for these people. Certify the election or sit in jail until you do. How do you “feel” now?

I really appreciate Rachel and wish she were back nightly! I really appreciate her now - that she's limited her time with us ... Yeh, I'm whining a little. This Journalist holds my interest from beginning to end. No other has. Delivers the news in a very palpable manner. Easy listening of the most horrible times.

Maybe She should have Dominion come in and show the commissioners there is nothing wrong with their voting machines. Make sure the press is invited to witness the meeting between Dominion and the commissioners. This is a by product of Trump getting away with his misdeeds.
