The July edition of "County Magazine" featured several interesting segments about Fairfax County.
First, the show covered the opening of a new bathroom on the Gerry Connolly Cross County Trail. This 40-mile trail connects many parks in the county. Officials said the new bathroom will make it easier for people to spend time outdoors and get exercise. Next, a new historical marker honoring Lillian Blackwell, an African American woman who worked to end segregation in Fairfax County schools and theaters. Local students helped create this marker to celebrate her work.
"County Magazine" also covered a Juneteenth celebration at Frying Pan Farm Park, and there was a segment teaching hands-only CPR. Finally, the show visited the Sully Antique Car Show, where over 200 classic cars were on display for Father's Day.
